So i was thinking of going with fabric pots because i’m worried about over watering and stuff. But are their any advantages of plastic pots i'm not aware of?

Okay what size would you suggest for autoflower in about a 5Ft tall tent? i was thinking 3 gallon or 5 at the most. using soil btw

I’ve heard about those but haven’t seen them anywhere. what i may do is a lil side my side test with the same strain and see what pot seems to work better. would make it a lil interesting!

The only advantages from plastic pots ime are as follows
#1 If you intend to transplant up to bigger pots you want to use plastic until the final transplant. Then go to fabric.
Fabric pots become a bit of an issue for getting the plant out once its roots have reached the sides of the grow bag.
With a plastic pot they just come out.
#2 runoff comes out of the sides of fabric bags if you water too fast or too close to the side of the bag. While plastic pots funnel it down. So if you have a real tight space that becomes hard to keep clean, having the runoff funneled to the bottom tray can save some messes.

it’s a 4x2 tent but at the moment i can only do two plants at most because of the light i have.

Well i’m only doing autos for right now so i won’t be transplanting any, but i’m still new to all this and learning so i’m worried about accidentally over watering that’s why i was thinking fabric would be best, i just wanted to be sure tho and that i’m making the right choice.

If your not going to transplant imo fabric is always better than plastic as a final resting place.
Better for root growth, no root bounding, increased air and more importantly oxygen flow.

Okay, do you have any experience with 247Garden? i was looking there for ordering some pots bc i can’t find any locally near me.

For soil, I would use the 5 gal.
I've only done random auto's in bubbler buckets in a spare closet.
They will easily fill a 2x2 space, but none of them got over 4 ft tall.

Hell ya man. I have a huge box of them I bought from 247garden. I bought like $100 worth and they are awesome quality. Way better than Smart Pots. I also love the transplant pots.

I was looking at ordering 5 of the 5 gallon pots and 3 of the 3 gallons and another 3 of the 1 gallons from 247Garden to test them out. But would the 1 gallon be to small? also was looking at trying a 10 gallon for a outdoor grow as a lil test for fun.Hell ya man. I have a huge box of them I bought from 247garden. Also quick question i didn’t wanna create a whole new thread but what can i do to help my plant with wind burn? i turned down my fan and moved it further away. but idk if i just haven’t gave it enough time yet but nothings changed, i noticed it all this morning and fixed the fan, should i give it another day or what?

The more you order the cheaper shipping gets. I ordered a shitload awhile ago, but they were a little cheaper then. I like them all. The one gals are perfect for some stuff. I have a one gal with a clone of that houseplant I posted. I like them all. I have 10, 15, and 20's in reg and tall versions that I've never even used.
Anytime people ask about fabric pots, I try to mention 247Garden.
I have a 65 gal fabric pot Build a Soil sent me that I didn't order. That would be fun to plant something in.

I think the 1 gallon will be perfect for pollenating a female plant with its self for feminized seeds. just got that idea so ima try that. but if you do try that 65 gallon i would love to see how that grow goes! i think that would be really cool.

There's people on here with like 200 gal fabric pots, so 65 is kinda nothing, lol.
