Aeroponic cloning question - Scraping Clone?

I have an aeroponic cloner Clone King using it for 1st time. Im five days no roots. I changed the water today, noticed PH was a little high.

Is it wrong to scape the end of the clone. The directions said not too, I didn't notice till I was done. I always saw people scraping on posts?

It's fine either way. I've tried cloning both ways and both resulted in roots. As long as you had a nice clean cut on your clones you're fine. People say it helps stimulate root growth but it's not an absolute rule.

I think my issue is light and high ph. Trying to use 20watt high up three feet 18hrs and make sure my ph 5.5-6. I'll post back my progress when I'm 7 days and 10 thanks so much

Be patient, if your using water don't be concerned with the ph.
Green stem doesn't need scrapped but on old woody stem it's worth scraping.

Still nothing on day 8 and no roots. The temp of water is 75. The ph is 6. I scraped the bottoms and put clones on not sure what they problem is.

The strain is all jungle boys SpaceCenter.

Pics will help. Should have roots poppin by now but it can take up to 2 weeks. More about your methods; did u use clone gel? any nutrients in aero unit? lighting?

First thing right away I thought is not enough light. How many watts?simple option get 2 blue cfl bulbs 23watt from hardware store placed about 6-12" above plants will work for that space. Back in the day used to make 250 aeroponic clones a week. You're starting to get the goop, fix asap. I personally run the stem between my fingers and wipe off all goop then place back into unit. Leaving goop on can kill an unrooted clone. Skip scrape in future

did you get your dog stoned or something? that last pic...

That should be fine just give them time they'll root, it'll be quicker with ideal temp but 6 days isn't a problem, give them time.
I'd lower the light as much as I could, clones don't need a lot of light to root but you will need something more for them to actually grow, do you have any hps/mh/led/cfl?

I put two 40 watts LED 18"up. I just wiped off the goop.

I definitely agree don't scrape in future. I did it before I read the manual. The manual for the Clone King definitely says no scrape or they won't root. I don't want to cut it off at this point.

That picture isn't my dog but it is a treat for helping out. lol.

Haha, that animal is super ripped!

Those LED tubes are super weak, put 6-12" above might be enough. Also you can slim down those cuts next time if you want. I leave the top node and 1 or two below it, and trim off the rest. Cut %40 of the leaf blades off and trimmed to 3-4" tall; OMRI kelp as cutting dip, roots in 4-8 days.

I have the same clone machine and i couldn't get it to work until i put the submersible pump on a timer. They sold a 45 second timer on ebay that would run for 45 seconds then off for 45 seconds, this would keep the pump from over heating the water. 72* was the sweet spot for me.

I cut the leafs off and top leafs trimmed. I put a heating pad on them too. I lowered the light like you said.

In warm temps this is a great idea that works well. With aero cloning you actually want cooler root temps, as opposed to rooting in a substrate.

Should be good now, just watch that goop and the H2O temps.
