If the salinity of the nutrient solution was higher than that of the coco coir, and in a DTW approach. Do you think it would have the potential to collect sodium from the coir on the way through?
Not as a base. But maybe a useful flushing solution. Periodically, if it was immediately followed by your base nutrient?

Would it help dissolve the salt better and make it easier to drain?
If also taking into account sodium's own effects on osmosis? And immediately followed by your base feed?

Irrelevant questions and situation to the grow in question now. But it made me really curious about it.

Those kinds of questions are above my pay grade. From my experience with growing in coco using a handful of different methods I don't think you should need to go to such lengths flushing. When I first started using it in the late 00's I was taught to feed till 10% run off and flush every 2 weeks with straight water, but now I feed multiple (up to 10 x a day) with minimal run off , never flush unless necessary and then if I do I use 1/4 strength base nutrients. It's a better idea to concentrate on preventing buildup rather than worry about flushing. House and Garden drip clean used correctly will totally prevent salt buildup while saving you from having to have large amounts of run off.

Those questions are also above my pay grade and brain capacity but I agree with Steve on this. Flushing coco is a waste of time and stalls the plants and from my experience and dodgy testing practices I reckon if there is an issue it is usually user error anyway so I just triple check my res then flush the shit out of them with full strength feed ensuring lots of run off. Saves having to mix up a new batch ;)

High humidity and low EC for the win so the ppms are low to start off with anyway.

As it happens I was just flushing some Bunnings coco this arvo and after 2 rounds of the hose the run off was still 500ppm but after 3 drenches it was down at 80ppm. Im gonna say that the salinity of the coco at this point is pretty low.

@Aussieaceae I still havent got any plants in the ground but soon!!!!

You using the brix fix from nutri tech? Have been interested in that product for a while, tried to get more info about it but couldn't.

How do you like it?
 
Can anyone tell me what is a good height to turn my plants in a scrog right now tops are about 4 to 6 inches through the netting

What info were you trying to get?

I chuck a heap of different things at them so it's tricky to say how effective 1 particular product is but it works out pretty economical and seems to work well with the rest of my spray mix

Just was mainly wondering if it had fulvic acid incorporated into it or if I should use my own.
