Biden Shanked The Progs

She never actually told me about it, I just saw her knitting one day.

That is not true, this morning she said it is a lot harder than she thought it would be. I think she called it crochet but I am not sure that is how it is spelled, so if I called it by something that is not what it is called, I apologize, it is not something I know anything about.

But that also doesn't mean that youtube videos on it might not be a data collection site that will eventually be used to push propaganda to its followers.

I was going to joke about it being because they are not white men?

Do you know what their actual resume is or just that you have seen them on MSNBC in a 4 year period that actual political discourse was non-existent in DC?

I have no idea how you can not think of this pick as being a problem in any way shape or form.

And I especially would not that the Republican crying like little babies about her just shows that she is a big change from the racist that they voted for that was Trump's pick.

Here is his racist as shit memo saying that hiring diversity is 'divisive' and 'propaganda'.
i have nothing against her- i just recognize her face and the many others from Morning Joe. that's all.

there's an old saying as a manager- don't surround yourself with yourself.

i want to see the final list. final answer.

I think then we look at if
biden is surrounding himself with old white guys?

Biden's picks so far:

So far, very good IMO, I look forward to seeing the entire list too.

i want to see the lineup, first and it's not a complaint..the Trump Plague and Heroes Act should be first order of business 8M have been driven into poverty through no fault of their own. 20M are unemployed; they just pulled UI money over a technicality.

and all i could think about was that Congress left a day early for their Thanksgiving break..12/11 The House breaks and 12/18 The Senate breaks for Christmas.

And when we do, I want to see their actual backgrounds and not just some trending nonsense about them.
i've been around long enough i don't need trending; i'll remember who they are.

that's where the debate begins.

Biden: 'Binders of Progressives'..then announce them Dear New Leader.

he's double dipping said he wouldn't and now he is; i understand why, but think before you speak.

I call bullshit on people not in DC working knowing the majority of people Biden has announced background/credentials/policy stances.

Also I have not heard this 'double dipping' thing. I do think we have enough to say that in no way has 'Biden shanked the progs' based on his picks so far.

when i said double dipping i meant double speak..he needs to let his press secretary or COS speak now for him.

Im not sure what COS is.

I think I am unclear what you determine 'progressive' to mean. I wouldn't hire Sanders or AOC, there are far more qualified people, and the elections in Georgia and in 2022 are too important to allow the Republicans talking points when there is no reason to give it to them.

Chief of Staff.

so now we don't appoint people based upon the old whisper campaign fears? pearl clutch. fainting couch. smelling salts.

did you know that Lindsey Graham says the left 'would be correct' re: SCOTUS.

and yet what does it all fvcking matter?- it doesn't, Hanimmal.

Dear Business Owners, time is running out if you wish to have a happy holiday season, you need to turn the heat up on one creepy old turtle- the Heroes Act is needed to bankroll business in order to sell your shitty chinese goods that we're paying the taxes on.

As of 12/18, Congress is adjourned..and all those items sitting on your shelves..?

..will still be there.

knew it.

Bernie Sanders wanted Labor Secretary which he hands down deserves for the coalition- reading between the lines and listening to the direct quote 'we have enough progs in my cabinet already and need to focus on those key seats in the House and Senate.

Rode hard and put away wet is what i'd say just happened to the prog wing.
I understand your negative reaction: I have been and will remain a Sanders supporter, and I wish this were a Sanders administration...but it isn’t. Biden has a much weaker hand IMO than Sanders would have, had the DP embraced and supported progressive policies and candidates; I’ve been convinced for some time that the “Dems” are Eisenhower-Republican wannabes - and that the public at large wants a broader and more serious progressive turn in our governance, and that this is why the Dems have trouble with turnout and enthusiasm and real buy-in from their natural constituents.

But...we have what we have - and while it was unpopular when Sanders threw his support behind Biden, it was the smart move: we need to move as many GOP out of government as possible, that starts with an administration, and with seats in Congress. Biden not pulling cabinet secretaries and top advisors from the Senate is another smart move: we’re fighting for control, and if he pulled even ONE Senator off the floor to fill a post, that would cost us the Senate Majority, even if and when Warnock and Ossoff are seated. We simply can’t afford that: things need to be done, need to be set right - and that requires as long a period of Dem chain-pullers as we can arrange.

Bernie knows this. Elizabeth knows this. We all know this.

The Biden administration is a beachead: we need it to be back in the ‘game’, to make what strides we can, and generate enthusiasm for a more progressive and productive team in ‘24. We DO NOT need to play tanglefoot with the GOP, and we don’t need to shoot ourselves in the foot either. The GOP Senate map for ‘24 was a glum prospect for them before the election, it looking even more unwinnable for them in 4 years. There are senate elections every two years, just like with the House (only a third of the Senate is up for re-election every two years), and we need to turn out in big numbers in ‘22 and flip as many seats as possible in both chambers - and then again in ‘24. We could end up with 60 senators.

Bernie knows this, and I’m with Bernie.

Biden is assembling the most diverse administration in the history of the United States. That matters more than Sanders getting a spot in the administration which I don't think he should. That would be what trump did by giving people positions as payback for them supporting him, donating, or raising money. Biden is picking qualified people that are on the same page as he is. That's all that matters. We don't need another cluster like it was under trump where trump came out and undercut his own administration because they were never on the same page.

Another oligarchy. Corporations still run your government. "corporate democrat" is just another traitor to the party. Glad Frump is done. But it ain't getting any better for us. This entire thread is pointless. The pres is irrelevant. Just a puppet for the last four decades. It will not matter who is appointed. Nothing will change in we the people's indentured servitude.

"How many terms have you watched change hands? " Nothing is ever fixed or improved for the people. Regardless of criminal enterprise in control. Change the corrupt system. Until then we are just being pacified by a false sense of a voice, voting.
We live in a democracy at the end of a gun.

Imagine at the dawn of radio in the 1920's a mere 70 years after the civil war, if "confederate" radio stations started popping up all over the south in the 30's. Broadcast media was very tightly regulated and is still censored for sexual content, only the means of delivery have changed, not it's power. Hitler used hate radio for 5 years before the second world war and holocaust and state media provides the official narrative in totalitarian regimes. It doesn't influence everybody, but they too have their base and minority in control of government can dominate a majority. Putin has his base in Russia too, some driven by Russian nationalism, some by bigotry, some by greed.

We can get into a situation where we must be defended by "good" billionaires, against evil ones, spectators and victims of a clash of titans for control of our destinies. We must seek past, as well as future solutions, some of the past solutions worked and were destroyed because they did. Look what they got rid of an why, anti trust and tax on the wealthy are good examples, media regulation was another, new disruptive communications technologies have arisen. The government has been slow to manage this issue, since it is bound up in free speech and politics. Serious problems have arisen because of this, because citizens cannot identify the true causes and solutions of social issues. The bottom half of the population is living on a fraction of the wealth, in Canada 50% of the population gets 6% of the wealth and America is worse.

People are getting screwed and know it, they just don't know the reasons, because false narratives, lies and the other noise the decentralized rightwing nut verse produces. The owners of these outfits don't want to pay taxes or have regulation, their audience don't want to form a sharing community with those they fear and despise, so they confirm their biases. Trump ended up using this media and more importantly social media like Hitler used radio, he is the center of the whirlwind and illustrates the danger. Trump reached a biased, distressed base with traditional dog whistles and blatant racism, he gathered the existing tribes and wielded them into a unified force, racism, bigotry and grievance are the cement that holds the aggregate of other issues together.
There are no good billionaires.

Chinese government's control is one example of a controlled media that I don't want to emulate. So, I'm OK with gridlock for now while we figure out how to defeat the wealthy-elite-funded fascist movement in the polls. One election down, many more to go.

seems like a lot of the Biden cabinet to date is MSNBC pundit heavy..and not the ones that I'd choose.
So, what if you'd choose somebody else? All the so-called "Progs" do is fuck up the ability of real progressives to make progress.

When your "Progs" start running in numbers against Republicans in contested election in November and winning then they can be taken seriously. At this moment, the "Progs" (lulz, what a stupid title) are few in number and riding on the backs of moderate Democrats.

I said the same thing when Gillum won his primary against a moderate Democrat. "Congratulations you won the primary. Win the election." He didn't. A vulnerable and populous Republican-controlled state was up for grabs and "The Progs" botched it. And it wasn't because the election was, as you claim, "rigged".

Florida has drifted to the right since then too. Elections matter. "Progs" don't.

People in their mid 50's and beyond are old school Republican's. Don't understand that the party has devolved to become the enemy it was created to defeat. And there is barely any media they watch that isn't corporate or right wing. "Rigged"elections are the result. Rigged by exploiting these folks and their beliefs in a party that no longer exists. Make the truthful facts easily available to the masses. Then you won't have a rigged election beyond purging, caging, gerry mandering and a million other repub voter suspension tricks.

It's all rigged. Corporations pick our candidates. Sponsor and promote both. Poor insane money into the ones they really want. No, no rigging going on here.

That is where you are wrong
Republicans of that age do see how the party has devolved and they also see the Trump nation ridiculing them as RINO's
The Republican party is and will remain a shell of an actual party , going foreword

No need to, win and an expert panel will make the calls, one with clear purposes and objectives, European democracies can do it, so can America, it simply requires knowing shit from beans and saying so. Governments in modern multicultural societies must check social division and internal strife, it is one of their purposes and always has been, national unity. I'm talking about using liberal democratic means, there is no mention of extremism here, mostly traditional means of dealing with public information and media. We must adapt to this new communications environment, no government can survive competing socially destructive realities, a house divided cannot stand. Ideas are ok, but bullshit and disinformation kill, people and countries too, politics is about disagreement on common facts, this is something else.
