Possible mold ? New soil

Hey guys ,

Just opened a bag of bio char soil amd it looks like there is grey/white mold growing on it .

I dont want to use it because I don't wanna hurt this grow.

I have no idea if its harmful for the plant or what.

Hell it could be just fine but my lack of knowledge leaves me in doubt .

Yea that's mold.

No im a closet . Im assuming this particular bag was wetter then the other 2 .

2 of 3 bags were fine, so my guess is, to wet amd too warm

yea, wet soil should be laid out on a tarp in the sun, or in a tote or something to dry.

It happens. I had 2 bags in the basement for a week, and they molded.

That’s pin mold as above let it dry out a little will be fine ☮

Well, thank God its salvageable, kis bio char is kinda pricey. Had to mix Malibu compost and more ewc to make up for 6 gallons that the moldy bag was suppose to be used for... oh well. I'll save it and mix it into my coco coir in about 4 weeks for my photos.

It won’t matter. That’s not the type of mold you need to worry about.

Yep ready to go out of the bag, can evern buy re charging kits and re amend it to use again
