so i messed up and planted too many seeds in one pot, like way too many seeds. 420 - minus 400, give or take
anyway here are some before and after shots, i will be happy if one survives. they are in humidity domes now

ah okay i will take them off! however, I do have one seed that i just took out of the paper towel and placed it into its final growing mix (i know probably bad) but in the past when I've done seedlings I've been successful with that mix + humidity domes- can i keep that one on one?

Personally I never use a dome for seeds only cuttings until they root.

No harm in seeing how they go, some might make it some not.

i think the main issue here is is probably how poor my attempt to detangle them was. also the soil now is packed super tight, is that a no go?

well my lips are super chapped and my concrete dried out faster than usual, but its been raining. i used to run a humidifier for my other house plants but was advised not to while growing. also im seeing tons of little bugs. this is the newbie forum for a reason lol.

i feel like i didnt answer your question though, i run a heater and a ceiling fan and it feels pretty dry in here, some days more than others.

Detangling them has definitely done some damage, and the soil being compact is no good it needs to be light and airy.

You will need to get a hygrometer to measure humidity if it's quite low them use the domes of its high enough then no need.

i feel like this is a lesson to not buy a dog when you can afford a dog but not the vet bills and have to put it down. def cant really afford much in terms of equipment at the moment

Going by your pictures the soil doesn't look to bad to me I'd leave them be for now. The ones that ain't standing up right I'd put little wooden sticks in to prop them up for now.

Haha you need something thin like toothpicks would do for now it's just to give the stems something to lean on.
