Because you say so?

Ok?

You mean your hating on America shit?

Whose Them? You switch around so much it is impossible to follow what you write half the time.

You go gross a lot btw. Is that on purpose? Like some little shock of peoples sensibilities so they turn the channel kind of thing?

LED has gone off the deep end and pretty much has started trolling the US rather than talking about issues. Makes me wonder what his agenda was when he started prattling on here.
Agree. Bagginski has made a lot of really good posts. I hope he sticks around.

America still has a moral reckoning I'm just pointing that out. Ask anyone who voted for Trump to defend their vote and support of him and wait for a logical coherent answer, crickets. That reckoning may come with Georgia in January, or it might be a while longer, but the day is coming. I have faith in Uncle Sam, but will not tolerate bullshit wrapped up as a rationalization for stupidity and neither should you. Know where to stay firm and know where to compromise, but compromising with these folks means selling someone down the river, who will it be this time, cause the black folks just got strong.

I missed the sound of our missals/drones marking the boundary line.

(shouldn't Exxon be concerned? lots of oil under that water) "Just do as they say"
Exxon's business model is broken. Like Trump they can do a lot of damage but the oil economy is on its way out. If you are by extension alluding to multinational corporate power, greed and harm it does to people, I agree that they hold too much power.

I don't accept the "we are all puppets" line of argument. I think act in what we perceive as our own best interests and multinational corporate power comes from shaping that perception to their own best interests. As with Covid, when facts pile up indicating otherwise, in a Democracy people take back the power.

It's complicated and I can't disagree that the powerful hold most of the power today. I depend on a free and independent news media to get the information out. What people do with it depends on what they perceive as their own best interest.

Russia is showing its weakness by saber rattling. I didn't listen to the video and only watched a short amount of it. If you had said why you were posting it and given me a reason to watch it, I might have. From what I saw, it was just another bit of propaganda fluff. Videos are terrible sources of information and I generally only watch youtube for entertainment.

I would like to say that I'm not really picking a fight with you. We agree mostly. If you want to disagree and discuss, I'll be glad to do so.

Al Gore had some good ideas but he kept talking way past the time he made his point and it's why people stopped listening.

Just saw on MSNBC 130 secret service agents sick with covid or quarantining, think they will be relieved to see Joe walk in the door? I'm sure he had a chat with his security team about THEIR health and safety, probably asked about their families too. It will be refreshing to see a human being in the WH again, make sure you keep one there.

It's like when the Catholics got an actual Christian as pope!

Win the moral fight and you win Al's fight, Joe is joining up on climate change, you are no longer a climate heathen, so there's that.

I wonder how many secret service agents got sick during Trump's ridiculous hospital stunt when they were forced to remain in close proximity to a violently ill person who refused to wear a mask? The entire secret service should sue Trump once he's out of the White House.

I'm sure they have a secret asshole POTUS award or might start one to see who can top Trump, he used them like toilet paper to wipe his ass with. There needs to be an apology and reckoning there too, Joe will take care of that score, he's good at it.

A year from now it would be nice if Joe gave everyone who caught covid on the secret service detail for Trump the medal of freedom and make a ceremony out of it and make sure people know why. Apologize to them publicly assembled on TV and explain in detail why you are doing it and handing out medals of freedom to them. Trump should be humiliated for this bullshit and Joe should stand in front of his victims and do it on national TV.

An observation...if they didn’t already feel like shit for their asshole waving, they’d wave their assholes less: having the stupidity of their signaling rubbed in their faces will never wake them up or soften their temper.

at least, it’s never worked on me, and I’ve never seen it work on another. But I totally get the frustration - I feel it, too

Most of the time I'm kidding, but moral failure should be in the front of your mind when dealing with such people and understanding the compromises they seek.

The way to change hearts and minds is through the heart, generating some empathy and not being judgmental, find something they agree with you on, a moral issue and go from there using skillful means. Most people have to deal with, soft racism, the kind that hides behind other issues and other such social smoke and mirrors. Approaching these people is like walking up to a horse, you come at it indirectly, when you meet a strange dog you always present the back of your hand, not the other side, let him have a friendly sniff.

I quite agree: simply saying it’s not a simple thing. In personal life, I treat those who telegraph their break as semi-wild, to be be observed/integrated with from some safe remove...much in the way that I love dogs, all dogs, but avoid being stupid about it just because I meet one. Just so, the break exhibited by those gulled by “conservative” mythology is typically at odds with their otherwise sterling human qualities. I learned that lesson traveling in Germany decades ago, during which I encountered some very well-camouflaged Nazis (yes, real Nazis) who were typically indistinguishable from the general run of the populace as long as I maintained my social distance...but who, like the MAGA crowd, could shift in an instant without my being aware of my error. I’m MUCH more careful, here and now.

Dictator Donald.
Its not surprising he will try. Look at his friends Putin, Kim and Xi. people who are leaders for life and in the eg of Putin and Xi were able to do it themselves. The Trump cult will be like the Nazi Brown shirts were for Hitler.
GL in stopping this as he could very well succeed.

The military does not have to obey an illegal order. At what point the generals decide that will be crucial. This attempted coup has been speculated upon since Individual 1 was elected. A wild thought then and here we are.
But yet they do all the time.
yep, here we are.
