I got a bunch of muriatic acid laying around so my question is can I use that in place of phosphoric acid for pH down?
If you want to kill them, yes.I got a bunch of muriatic acid laying around so my question is can I use that in place of phosphoric acid for pH down?
Thx that’s all I needed to knowIf you want to kill them, yes.
Sorry, I thought that was funny. I'm kinda a smartass sometimes.Thx that’s all I needed to know
That's totally true.Actually I lied. I’m low on pH down. Anything else I could use that would be equally as good as phosphoric acid? I’ve heard that vinegar and lemon juice do not sustain the ph for very long is this true?
No worries. Thx for the helpSorry, I thought that was funny. I'm kinda a smartass sometimes.
Its an acid that has salt as a major ingredient. I believe its hydrochloric and table salt. The only thing I use pool acid on is removing rust.Since they use muriatic acid in swimming pools to lower ph why would it be unsafe for plants?
Bad idea man.Since they use muriatic acid in swimming pools to lower ph why would it be unsafe for plants?
I have some that I used when I had my hot tub going, but you're not even supposed to use it in hot tubs. I just made sure I diluted it good first.I use HCL / Muriatic acid to remove base metals from computer parts to get the precious metals.
I would not suggest using that on your plants.
Yep. I use it on the hot tub filters once a month. Cleans them very well. Doesn't affect the fibers at all. No metal? No problems.I have some that I used when I had my hot tub going, but you're not even supposed to use it in hot tubs. I just made sure I diluted it good first.
