GH Mother formula

So what ratios and products do you all use for mothers when using GH? I have been very lazy and I just use a slightly watered down Lucas formula but I want to see if I can't find one that works better. Thanks.

With RO water my 30 gallon mix is:

Si = 60 ml
CM = 150 ml
M = 200 ml
G = 200 ml
B = 250 ml

I will run that for veg and the first 3 weeks of 12/12. Veg room get it all the time.

For my tap h2o I take out the Si or add it last, reduce the calimagic to 70ml and add 10 grams of epsom.

What PPM is that RO mix?

Was thinking about switching to GH since it’s slightly cheaper per gallon than my Dyna-Gro but the GH seems quite a bit more diluted.

My RO 15G mix, brings me to around 500ppm

Protekt = 30ml
FP = 45ml
MP = 7.5ml

This is my veg mix, for flower I slowly transition from FP to bloom.

If you wanna cut the PPM on the mix I provided, I would keep the calimagic at 5 mL per gallon if your RO H2O is <10 PPM and only cut the M,G,B, maybe not cut the Si either depending on pH it's a good pH up if you need it so sometimes thats how I add it, just use whats required if I need pH up but I never go over 3 mL per gallon with the Armor Si. I think the dyna protekt is stronger, just going by memory.

It's right about 1100 PPM @ 0.5 conversion from EC.
I just posted something the other day to a new grower and I called it the "cult of less is more," where they convince growers who's plants are starving that they never need to go above 600ppm.

I will sometimes max out at 800ppm on more hungry strains but 600ppm is what I usually run. I’m in coco feeding multiple times per day. If you are feeding less frequently then I can understand higher ppms.

If I go higher than 600-800 then my runoff ppms spike.

I'm using your ratios for my next run. If this comes easy to you, could you please help me do the math if I'm out of florabloom? I have Liquid Koolbloom 0-10-10. I was just going to substitute with that and epsom salt/gypsum. I'm trying not to buy anything else and have full bottles of all the others plus the vegan florablend and fulvic acids.

According to my math, each 1ml per gallon of the Bloom would provide:

Both the Epsom (0.2) and Kool Bloom (0.5g)

Thats pretty close. I don't have a specific gravity for the Liquid Kool Bloom so I am doing it by mass.

Wow, thank you so much for doing that Renfro. Do you think this would be okay with the increase in sulfur?
I'm using around 8 ml of bloom per gallon so that would be replaced with..
1.6 g epsom , 4 ml liquid koolbloom ? Is this correct? I have a feeling I did it wrong.

Remember I calculated the Koolbloom by mass, I would need an accurately measured and weighed sample to calculate the specific gravity on the liquid kool bloom or just weigh the additions in grams.

So here is 8ml/gal of GH Bloom

ive been looking for something like this. how do i start adding other nutrient lines in? and their input values

Use the tools tab, "Label Calculator", making sure to start with all "0" in the blue boxed %'s, input the product label percentages. Then copy the values in the green box, go to the Products tab, scroll down to a new product line, click on the "C" cell on that line and right click, "Paste Values Only" and it should now have that product.

Note, if the product is liquid you can weigh a sample and calculate the specific gravity (see notes in tools tab) then you need to input the SG# into the blue Specific Gravity box thats just below the Label Calculator, the numbers will be adjusted and you paste those to the product line in the products tab, and change the units on that product from grams to ml.

So if you don't have a specific gravity number for the liquids, the numbers are only accurate if you weigh the product additions to your reservoir.

I tried to make it as easy as I could lol.

The "Adds" tab is where you input how much of each product you use in a gallon or liter. Then you go to the "Results" or "Results (Liters)" tab to see the results.

The matrix tab is just where all the multiplication and summing happens. No need to mess with that tab at all.

The schedule tab is not complete, so just ignore the schedule feature unless you feel like coding it lol.

As you can tell the liters tab was an after thought but it works, just have to ignore the product units saying "/gal"

This diagram shows that Sulfur stimulates Calcium, Molybdenum and Copper availability to the plants and that Zinc and Molybdenum both stimulate Sulfur. So I don't see an issue BUT if you saw something being locked out by excess Calcium, Molybdenum or Copper then perhaps the sulfur is the actual cause.

As we can see in this chart, excess Calcium for example, could limit potassium uptake.

Every element has it's limits so how much sulfur can we have without issues? I really don't have that number.
