Agreed good simple wisdom.24-30" will be fine to begin with. move em closer if they stretch
You will like the ts1000. i use 3. here is a past set up. i no longer use the trough. i have gone to individual containers for each plant. the trough creates an inherent problem. If you have problems with 1 you have problems with all. this is my first go with 250 gallon trough. rude boi. It turned out small buds but man it was strong with great terps. My new ts1000 I hung a few hours ago in my 2x2x5’7”. Let’s see how my 2 lst’d monsters under the scrog like they’re new lights. They were flipped to 12/12 6days ago, but were under a “burple” LED. I moved that 600w growstar Cree combo to the 3x3x6 veg/auto tent and daisy chained it to the 1200w growstar cree combo that was already in there. This is it now, MarsHydro newly hanging 16” above canopy in 2x2 continuing the flowering that the “Blurple” 600w began. And I have the 2 Growstar units 22” above everything in the 3x3. I have one VERY busy 1 month old Clone taken from the plant in Black pot in the 2x2 tent. Another small 4 day old clone from it. And 4 newly sprouted seedlings all there, so I figured 22” from the top of the tallest seedling would be appropriate. Anyone think I should do different?
I don't know who comes up with this stuff, I keep my lights at 4 to 6 inches above the plants all the way through bloom when they quit growing i raise the light up about 12 inches, I'm not raising them any higher than that I don't like stretchy plants...As per the website, the recommendation is:
After asking around, I have been given contradicting information such as, "Lower it 2-4" from manufacturers recommendation," "Higher than manufacturers recommendation," etc.
- Germination: 24"-30"
- Seeding: 24"
- Veg: 18"-24"
- Bloom: 12"-18"
So, for those of you who use the Mars Hydro TS1000 from seed to harvest:
How far above the plant do you keep your light in different stages of growth (Example: Germination, Seedling, Veg, and Bloom)?
