What have I done to this plant and can it recover

I was given a plant by a friend as he had to get rid of it. I don't know what type of cannabis plant it is and it's probably about 12 weeks old.

Yesterday it was transplanted into a larger pot with fresh potting soil with maybe 10% of previous medium (soil/Coco)
When transplanting I noticed the root system wasn't very developed, the roots can't straight down from the stem to the bottom of the pot and didn't really spread out horizontally.
There was probably some root damage during transplant but mean root threads are still in tact.
Yesterday was also the first time it was fed nutrients in maybe 6 weeks (6%NPK as I struggled to find higher ratios that weren't too expensive). It has been watered every 2-3 days when the top inch or so of soil felt dryIMG_20200918_170706.jpgIMG_20200918_170706.jpgIMG_20200918_170655.jpg
Is it dead? Is there anything I can do to help it recover if it is alive?
This is my first ever plant and equipment is scarce. It has been growing outside during the day and left inside (no light) at night

I watered before and after the transplant and the top 2" of soil still feels damp. If it's not water could it be anything else? Yesterday I was thinking I over watered so I wanna be sure before I water her again

Any home made solutions for balanced water it's been getting either tap water or tap water nutrient mixes and I've read that tap water isn't great but not sure how to solve the problem

Even a Brita filter would be better.
What nutes are you using? Like I say try and add a bit more Phosphorus and potassium then you normally would. Not a lot more or you'll get nute burn. Make sure you hit 6.5 for PH for soil.

bone meal needs microbes and time for it to be broken down by the microbes to be effective.

is this plant always in the sun...could be light stressed if it isnt hardened off to the suns rays.

water when the pot feels lite to pick up along with the top being dry, the top could just be dry due to evaporation and the bottom roots are soaked...if you have root issues then this could be the problem.

add in some kelp during veg to get the roots going, a little extra P helps as well, stop kelp week two of flower...get some microbes and use them every so often so you know that you have microbes in there working for you.

did you make sure your soil was light, moist and fluffy when you transplanted? looks pretty clumpy and a lot of bark

could be causing some rooting problems

How much light does it need to grow? Where it's stored when it isn't outside gets daylight all day. Just put it outside for a boost in light intensity

For example could a stick a few of these on the inside of a bin and put the bin over the plant. So it has as light over night or whatevers-l400 (1).jpg
