Getting frustrated...

FFOF soil. water is now PHd to right around the sweet spot on the up/down kit (roughly 6.5.... using up down kit, so hard to be precise). 300w blurple (platinum led) and haven’t given nutes in a couple weeks, but was giving FF trio before at 1/4 strength. Taken outside on nice days. Close to 24 hours of light between being in the tent and sun. Been giving roughly 1/2 gallon once every 2-4 days, and it’s in a 5 gallon fabric pot.

Thought I had overwatering problems, but the wilting seemed to have comeback and seems thirsty again with a light pot. Just a couple days ago I saw gnats in the tent, so I’ve sprayed down the plant with a Neem oil solution (10ml Neem oil : 25oz water), sprinkled diatomaceous earth on the soil, and put up a yellow sticky card that hasn’t caught anything in a day. I’m pretty sure it’s just thirsty at this point from the drooping, but want to be sure.... i was told I was overwatering before even with a light pot and what I assumed was dry soil an inch down. Now I’m also thinking my leaves are too dark on top of the ones that have been yellowing and falling off.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

The way I got rid of Gnat's personally? Was I switched to Hydro. It's an uphill battle!
That plant is very sad but I don't think its over watering that's causing your issue.

If the pot is lite then water it if its not then dont. Add in a microbe product. Feed it as well your in soil in flower. Taking it in and out of the tent like that is probably causing stress to the plant, it isnt used to the sun. The plant should be on a 12/12 cycle (if not an auto)so I dont really understand the 24 hours of light thing you mentioned, doesnt make sense to me but whatever.

Yeah, it’s an auto. Should have mentioned that.

5 gallon pot needs close to a gallon to fully saturate in my experience and when you water, the whole pot should be saturated thoroughly.

Ok, so I’ve only been doing about a half gallon with runoff. Is that probably due to the soil not really soaking and the water just running through?

also, I know each setup and plant is different, but any of you who use 5 gallon fabric pots, what does your watering schedule look like with a plant this size?

I’ve been watering my plant which is in 10-gallon pot 2 gallons of water every other day with run off. Now I live in the North Bay Area in California and it’s been pretty hot for the past few weeks 105/108 degrees with the smoke from the fires and all. For the Past week its been a lot cooler but I’m still giving my plant 2 gallons every other day and it’s (my plant) is standing tall and proud. I just think a half gallon of water every 2 to 4 days is killing your plant.

chronic underwatering.

Be a good idea to add a wetting agent to your water and water slowly next few waterings, it may of become hydrophobic.

Been growing but I’ve also been losing leaves, but not too bad. Seems I got some bad advice over on reddit. I’ll start watering a bit more.
