You made a super soil. If the pH of the slurry test is within 6.0 to 6.5 you're golden. Above 6.5, add a thin topcoat of powdered lime. To low, add a thick top layer of peat.

You got that backwards. Lime will raise the pH. I use oyster shell flour instead though. Peat moss, elemental sulfur, and organic material will lower it.

Yes. So if the soil is above 6.5 you don't want to add lime to make it higher.

If it's too low adding peat moss will just make it lower.

It just means let your water sit for 24 hours before adding nutes. And feeding your plants but depend on your water I guess. Hard or soft have different oh levels
