Yeah i bet i know they are not there yet i dont see any amber yet but ill tell you she is sticky and is stinking up like crazy lolI've had some strains in the past where they got milky way before harvest time. Others not until much closer to harvest. It can vary greatly. Strain and environment both can play a role. For new growers though they are definitely a good indicator of when to harvest. The more grows you get under your belt you will develope an eye for when to harvest. You can look at the plant and consider how long they have been in flower. They just get that look and say, it's time to harvest me.
Word yeah, Im not sure why he mentioned that, just figured Id reiterate it to others because thats something that always comes up here.I know not looking at the fan leves looking at the ones in the center but will try to get a better pic with my 60x loupe
That is great advise and i think im going to try that with my other plant she does not seem to going as good as the one in the pics thank youWord yeah, Im not sure why he mentioned that, just figured Id reiterate it to others because thats something that always comes up here.
You should keep it mind though, once they are mature, and you enter that window of time you can harvest in their prime before they degrade, the time to pick them is all preference, so once you learn what you like, you can choose when to do it. This is why everyone has their own answer to what ratio cloudy:amber trichs they like, So be careful expecting one answer on the subject. That picture I provided in my other post is what I would consider milky, when they look like that they are close to peak potency, if they are clear, those clear trichs are "empty" and have no potency, So when you look at your plants through your 60x, they should at least be this cloudy, and you want the least amount of clear ones. Some people like mostly cloudy, a 50/50 mix, etc. Im sure you know this but for anyone wondering.
I would recommend new growers take an experimental harvest and take some buds early, some late, and test out what you like, That way you can have an idea for future harvests... Im also all for letting a plant die a natural death from old age...Or at least very well "past due" That way you can study all the minor changes throughout the life cycle and you will be able to dial in your intuition for what future plants need, and when they need it. Learn the life cycles to maximize potency/yield... etc.

Of course it is,Thanks alot so side view not top makes so much sense. Is it ok to just harvest the ones that are done ( when they are done) and wait for the lower ones to finish more?
Side tracking a little bit my 60x loupe fell apart do you have any experience putting them back togetherOf course it is,
In fact I would recommend doing that on a plant when you first start growing... Even on every new strain you grow... That way you can keep track of what nugs you pulled early, and find out what you like for future harvests of that strain. You can harvest the tops and then let the plant go a few more weeks to let all the smaller low buds that were blocked, get some weight, and take those. Dont be afraid to experiment, you'll learn way more that way.
