HLG v2 550 dimmer

I have HLG v2 550 and I grow autos thus I keep the lights 24/7. However, what about the dimmer? I'm currently in the seedling stage.

Can I please how high should I adjust the dimmer for the seedling, veg, and flowering stage?

Thanks

magic par maps for distance of hlg550
Im not sure on the V2 550 hanging heights when dimming. Hopefully someone else with experience with the 550V2 will chip in.
I think these par maps below are lights on full throttle.

Is it an "A" type driver with built in pots? 550v1 dims to around 220 watts if I remember correctly.
I believe the HLG550 V2 is dimmable to ~ 40 watts, 10 watts per board? That would save some electric for sure, so for early vegging you could get it quite close, like maybe 12" away. I'm not sure.

350 - 400 umols/m2/s suits me for good vigorous veg growth on photos at 18 hrs on, 6 hrs off so I'd hang it higher than that 36" mentioned below.

24" that seems a good flowering height

22"

18" away probably too much for some strains

Looking at the par maps I'd run the lights at 24" away, 18hrs on 6 hrs off for the autos once they're established.
That's a DLI of around 44, that's a ton of light.
Hope that helps.

If you see evidence of light bleaching, leaf twisting, or curling dim the light. Otherwise, let it rain sunshine till the cows come home. Don't over think it. This isn't rocket science. Place your hygrometer at canopy level also. That way you always know what the temp is at the canopy.

Temps are generally not a problem with LED quantum boards. Intensity is another story. If the plants are happy at full blast keep doing what you're doing.

Once they are established means after the seedling stage?
Mind me asking this rookie question, is it 24" inches from top of the tent or from the canopy?
I don't mind electricity as I have a fixed bill. Will you still go with 18/6 24"?

You want an 18/6 light cycle to give the plants a rest period. Roots do most of their growth at night. 24/0 does not increase output. This has been scientifically proven. 24" from the tops of the plants. The distance from the top of the tent has no relevance.

Dimmed all the way down you want to be 20 inches away for seedlings. My apogee reads low 200 ppfd at this
height.
Sound advice for seedlings. They don't need much light. I recently burned a moonshine haze #1 x ghost train haze #1 seedling to death. Fortunately the other seedling is growing well, but I had mine too close to a T5 and she shriveled like a prune.
