Heat confusion room in a room?

Tent is sat there in the loft...
Cooltubes seperately run 2v600w
Filter on fan controller setbto 25 with 800cmfout 400 in.

I put me propergator in the middle and a thermos inside...
1 thermos outside propergator so like 15cm away..

How how how is my propergator cooler than my tent?
Always tent can get 29 and propergator is stil max 26...



I dont know why but if i can work out why i can reduce temps more as they grow somehow like a propergator giant haha ive no idea just know there is some factor at play i would like to harness? Haha


Alli can think is my intake is close to it so gets more fresh air and less heat in the room?

So more extraction? But the fans at max for the tent as it is? Reccomends 180cmf duno how 2.4x1.2 tent and 6inch l1 and 6inch a1 in out. And 6inch a1 on cooltube too.?

I realize you have probably done this, but just in case. Have you calibrated them both recently? Most thermpros that I have used were granted food thermometers but are calibrated in an ice bath.

Calibration issues can lead to this exact disparity.

To be honest i open tent and it never feels like 29 never it feels like 25 room remp in babys room if anything..

The sensor sayin 29 is 6 years in use and 15year old found in a matea house ive relies on it like gospel..

Gona go put them both in same area see what happenes the new 1 i got is made by a top central heating firm so id believe that in all honesty..

Both are working spot on to the decimal after 12hr testing.

Best place for thermostat?

I put it next to my plants so its at the side of the 1.2 at canopy level

Your sensors under the light so its reading the light, you may never get a totalky acurate reading in a tent but shade it and place it away from any light that might hit it.

No wonder it dont feel as hot as it says.

So shade it slightly with like a sheet of card to take direct light off ye?

I moved to the edge stood up dayd fumin 32 lol.

Direct under my led tho it says 27 n that's in a propergator in there next to the 600 lol. The propergator must shield the immedieate light rays

Best place in my opinion is exhaust(inside the hose, if you have to). That way you get the actual airtemp inside your tent(s). Light obviously affects the measurement, so it's better to keep it out of the light as much as possible.

But surwly the plants feel that heat buildup being direct?
Air has a cooling effect so i wudbt put it int he exhaust

Air does not have a cooling effect. How do you come up with this stuff? Evaporation has a cooling effect, so just dont spray water on your sensor and you'll be fine...

Air does not have a cooling effect? Yes it does when the air is cooler than temps u have...

Hencr ehy we use cooltubes to use air removing heat.
And why when i use bedroom for intake it cools bette tthan my landing as the landing is warmer.
So air at 20degree will cool my 27degree room better than the 24degree landing air.


I have increased intake using passive vent and temps have dropped 2 degrees sofar so i find increasing my intake air is helping cool it down?

I dont know if i am lost in ur post or not but

And we use a fan to coool us down like a breeze on a warm day its cooling

I see the air rushing past it causing a cooling effect like in a cooltube why in a breeze people can feel chilly.

Like how the i correct reading infront of hps i feel in a vent it would also do this there is no still.

The air coming out feels colder than my room.

They also say after somuch it will reduce temp in transit.

But it moves through a steel filter with carbon thats not room temp it feels cool. So that wil also cool it

That's what I said. Evaporation has a cooling effect. The fan is cooling you because your sweat evaporates.
This is basic physics dude. If you want stable measurements of airtemps you put it in your exhaust.

But what about when air is 40rh and so if ya grow room hows it cooling then?
Not arguing lol interested in figuring this shit out.

So surely that would mean running a humidi and deuimidi would coolbthe room better than extraction.?

There are several factors at play, and I have studied them all. That's why I say what I say.

Of course mine is in the exhaust, I kinda argue for it a little here..

A humidifier feels cooling, but does not really cool down anything. Evaporation cools down the surface or air the liquid evaporates from, but heats up the air that it evaporates to. Surface cools down, air heats up. Hence the conservation of energy is not broken.

Can u explain this to me then... This fucks me up..

How how how how how is my propergator direct in the light 5 degree cooler than the thermomiter in the dull side of the tent without a light?

Can't say for sure without a full picture, but there are couple of possible reasons that comes to mind;
1. Radiation from exhaust-hose
2. Air moves from one end to another in your tent, with the thermometer being on the exhaust-side of it
3. The thermometer is affected by constant changes in humidity (condensation, evaporation)
4. The air inside your propagator is actually cooler than the air outside of it. I have had propagators with cooler air inside them than the surrounding air before, although it's normally the opposite, and the only explanation I can think of is the plants are using the heat(energy) to grow.
