Like I said earlier...I also thought my COBs were doing great until I built my new lights. They will give you good results but they won't give you the best results. I had no chance of hitting 1g/watt with cheap Chinese COBs and it took me a lot of grows to realize it was the lights that were holding me back. I gave you the model number of the strips...google it and you will very easily find Samsung's F-Series spec sheet.I ran all my lights too all Month my power increased 38 bucks. I need more details. Like a screenshot or a link. I think mine are doing pretty good I'll have to cut some light back and take a better Pic
do they need a driver or do they wire up directly to 220 or 110?Like I said earlier...I also thought my COBs were doing great until I built my new lights. They need a driver. Almost any quality LED needs a driver. The "driver on board" LEDs are usually cheaper and more prone to failure. Driver quality is just as important as LED quality and, it's worth repeating over and over that you get what you pay for with lighting. I know you are happy with what you have, so I'm not expecting to change your outlook on this, but I suspect that 6-12 months from now you will be saying the same thing I am to someone else who is using what you are using now.do they need a driver or do they wire up directly to 220 or 110?
There are thousands of good reviews for garbage lights on Amazon, too, and that doesn't mean anything. Why would you go with better quality diodes for side lighting? Use the cheap COBs for side lighting and build better lights for the main lighting. If you upgrade you can use those COB holders for a veg tent. I kept one of my COB LED light assemblies as a back up and shipped another to a friend who is just getting started growing.Possibly, ill probably end up getting some crees and some drivers i wouldnt want those cob holders to go to waste now would I. id probably still mix them in with those strips if i were to get them. i need some strip lighting for my sides. its the nice thing about those cob holders is that you can put quality lights in them. I just didnt becuase it was cheaper and easier. and theres 1000's of good reviews on them.
I built two four strip lights and each light is powered by a MeanWell XLG-240-H-AByeah i seen that too, i stopped buying lights off Amazon, its aliexpress now. those strips are a decent price. i seen that they came in 5000k but not 6500k id personally go 1 strip 6500k one strip 3000k for my setup. 5000k is good tho too. for 8 bucks each its not that bad. how many strips can 1 power supply power are you using a led dc power supply controller one of the higher power ones?
You can find a lot more info in this thread. It was started by someone else, but you can see what they did, and posts from me and others showing the different ways we built ours. Now theres information everyone could use, wheres the like button?
the problem was you, like many of us, were dupped. Fortunately I didn't bite on either Kind or AdvancedHLG all the way, Previously i have spent thousands of dollars on name brands like KIND and Advanced Platinum, all of which i have replaced with HLG due to the superior results. In my current 2x2 perpetual 4 plant setup i replaced 600W of advanced platinum lights with a single HLG 225 and im pulling the same weight if not more, the buds are tighter/more dense, and its running less than half the wattage the old lights were.. moral of the story.. dont order anything except HLG when it comes to lights. you wont regret it.
again, likely a large led factory that makes all kinds of led lights for all kinds of uses. Simply engage them to make lights for you and they will even slap a name on them and shipI know they have the same address. Another poster showed us in another thread. Search it on here and you'll probably find it.
Most of Mars Hydro TS and SP has been upgraded. welcome to checkYou dont have to like the Spider Farmer options, but they test well, the specs are good, the materials are quality, the output is great, and the price is affordable. They are a good mid-range option for those of us that are not professionals or commercial growers but still want bang for the buck, as they check all the boxes. When I'm rich like you, I'll upgrade.
That LED looks cheap as fuckMost of Mars Hydro TS and SP has been upgraded. welcome to check
So ... the efficacy and spectrum of their high end competitors leaves these lights in the dust - and the features they choose to market for over 2 minutes are daisy chaining and dimming?... That LED looks cheap as fuck ...
Dear Friend, is there anything misunderstanding? tell us your order number or PM us, we will ask the relative department to help you to address the issue. how about your ideas? The only thing i buy from Mars now are their tents. I have bought four of them so far but only 2 have been delivered. More probs with that US warehouse. I just got one of the two 4x8's left. I'm sure I'll get an email stating they are out of stock now. I even emailed them to check the stock and they said yeah we have them in US. Let's see how long I wait. I've already been waiting for a month for 4x4.
