5 days in dry, 23 Celsius +- and 40% humidity.

Feel much lighter and drier.
The branch are snapping, can it be ready or should I check something else?
Its was fast for its size and weight...

This is the harvest post

Thanks

I'd say yes. Just don't forget to burp her. I use little temp and humidity sensors in the jar to be sure im in the curing zone. I got 6 of them for 13.00 usd off Amazon. Well with it.
I have those humidity bags from boost, it is ok to put inside the jar?
What do you mean by burp her?

Thanks

I've never used them. Now my "never" spans all of 2 harvests I got one of those bags from a dispensary them we got an oz. from them and it seemed to do ok. But that was already cured. I've heard that there is no need to burp them if you have humidity control, which those bags should take care of. If you don't have those bags you seal your harvest in an airtight container. Re check your stems after about 3-4 hours to sweat out internal moisture. If your stems don't snap/ break you're still to wet. Once they keep their snap you start curing. Between 55&65% rh is your cure zone. Open your jars 2-3 times daily to refresh air(burp) and prevent mold.

No, it might be dry but taste flavout and moisture equalization take a week longer.

Dont jar before two weeks, does it smoke have flavour and full taste? If no far too early wait two weeks.
Isn't the all idea of curing is to start before you can smoke it? If its dry too much then its too late, no?

Thanks

Some scientific proof that 55-65% humidity is tbe 'Cure Zone' please.

Easy to copy or talk broscience, harder to prove.

I don't know why you keep telling people not to jar before 2 weeks. Not everyone can keep their humidity that high. You must live in a humid area. If I waited that long my shit would be dust. I have to jar sooner, and burp more often, and longer.

He's been drying at 40%, so I wouldn't doubt his is ready. I usually can only make it 4-5 days before I have to jar. This is even with a humidifier running in my closet, keeping the RH around 50%.

I keep a mini hygrometer in each jar to know for sure, and keep them between 55-65% from then on. I usually aim for 62% at the beginning, and then let it get down closer to 58% for storage. I've got weed that's 1 1/2 years old still curing, lol.

I’m not quite sure of the 2 week dry period before jarring myself. The longest I’ve dried was 11 days, and that was in the winter, when humidity was crazy due to raining. Not that 2 weeks worth of drying doesn’t work or isn’t necessary, it just might not be necessary for everyone. I usually hit between 6-8 days of drying and I’m good. I don’t think the dry time is set in stone for every specific situation or drying environment. What works for one person might not work for the next.

Seems like you have some weird concept of humidity and some abstract idea that bud not jarred turns to shit.

Sucks you grow so long and dismiss all the pros hanging bud for way longer than two weeks in your area and around the world for few thou years without fussing humidity.

Is getting high of cannabis a recent creation that just wasnt possible before the invention of glass and humidifyers and boveda.

So i guess thats the reason and sucks your bud cant hold its organic construct in your area as drift of like particles in the wind every time you touch it.

No waut that would have been my answer had i given a shit what you think or do lol.

So are you saying two weeks even if the stems are snapping etc? I thought those were signs of it being ready for jar. If the stems are snapping at 7 days just let them hang and dry for 7 more?

Its two weeks because thats the quickest you will finish bud to high quality and bring to market or enjoy personally. Ive seen harvest that took a month to trim and hung for that time and it was all dank.

Before boveda and in big ops your advice meant dick, you can spin that coin but it makes no sense in the whole history of growing indoors and out and its easy to google past stoner sites and over hyped info.

Im not the only one who agrees i just ddisagree the most with idiots.

Well I’ve seen most larger grows people have dry rooms they hang them. They never see a jar. So you may have a point. There’s a post somewhere about a guy getting 40# a grow. Think he’s jarring that?

Get your shit together, its like you wont stop trolling me.

When buds ready to jar is when its finished producing its taste and flavour, it dries well before that but jarring is the quickwst way to fuck.up the taste and flavour process - are you not seeing the fucking tidal wave of threads that start with 'Bud taste like hay' and they all go on to say 'jarred at day 3-7' then 'is this right?'

I think a lot here are stupid, i think you follow whatever your told, i think the industry thinks your suckers with disposable income.

The problem is the bud hasnt equalized fully, the enzymes and bacteria havent started changing it and dont till its dry - you do notice a greener taste at day 7 and a full on melt your face taste at 14 yes?

Not here to learn this stuff and i may come of as a pompous asshole but from my point of view thats a lot of you guys just you dont realise because too caught up in your own shit.

I just had my second harvest and my third and forth are coming up soon. Neither of them took anywhere near two weeks. I agree putting a set number of days doesn’t make any sense because every environment is different. But who knows maybe this guy has pound and pounds and pounds he’s harvesting and not showing anyone ever for the last 6 years and it takes him two weeks. Who knows. There’s a lot of good dudes on here with great realistic information. You’ll know em when you see em.

No one is trolling you get over yourself. I was pointing out that some weed never sees a jar and it smells fine. I was asking if going by the number of days is better or going by snapping of branches. Mine are snapping at 7 days. Even some good sized ones. It’s only been in the jar a few days but I’m not impressed with the smell.

I’m agreeing with the @2Hearts jackass and he doesn’t even realize it. What a goon. What he was saying makes sense he’s just such a jackass about it, you tune it out.

Food grade plastic vessels are a happy medium between retail glass and initial hanging. The missing step in most cases I'd guess.

When buds ready to jar is when its finished producing its taste and flavour.
My bud doesn't stop increasing flavor until 4-6 months. I'm definitely not going to hang for that long! The taste might be there but the smell won't.

Not everyone can keep their humidity that high. You must live in a humid area. If I waited that long my shit would be dust.
Flush your shit then, your nutes are making it turn to dust. That's why dispotards whine about bud being 2 months old and "dry": dispensary weed is loaded with synthetic nutes, synthetic nutes smell like "gas" or "sweet" to dispotards, dispotards get poisoned by synthetic nutes and think that's a weed high, synthetic nutes then decompose; the perceived "sweet" or "gas" smell goes, the perceived effect goes, the perceived dankness of excess moisture goes, and the structural integrity of the bud goes.

We have an entire generation who actually desire unflushed, wet weed, because it smells like plastics, dank means wet, and it poisons them with nitrogen. It's fucking weird to be alive in century 21! When growers add silica to preserve their crappy nitrogen weed instead of tapering down nutes to make their crappy weed significantly less crappy.

And now we got this Flushing is Debunked movement, where these kids literally say nitrogen can't be removed from a plant, like they feed their plants once and it stays dark green forever...? So many youngsters making life harder for themselves by not using their brain, how do they find the energy to protest the police and tear down statues?

To be honest I've never seen hydro that was "dispensary bad" out in the wild, but I used to save one bud from every growers product I could get my hands on, hundreds of growers, hundreds of buds tied off in corner bag, and the bud with lower legitimate sweetness and gas levels, the bud that didn't improve and got crumbly the fastest was always from growers who did not understand the effects of excess nitrogen in flower, when the bud doesn't need it.
