Your seedlings will stretch with the T5's 18 inches away. I use a 4ft 4 bulb HO T5 and keep it just a few inches away. Keeps the seedlings nice and stout and the nodes close. These were grown about 3 inches from the light from the time they sprouted.

Without CO2 enrichment we generally wanna see a canopy temperature about 79F.

T5 and T8 is good at about 6 inches. T12 more like 1 - 2 inches. Some strains like more light than others.

Please know that I have never used any fluorescent lights in my entire growing career (30+ years) so I am not the guy to talk to really but I have consulted for commercial grows and a few used T5 for veg. They worked best at 6 inches.
Hey Ren. I'm a soil guy so I can't give him advice with coco, and don't know much about hydro. When I saw these posts I thought of you. He seems like a cool guy, and I'd like to help if I could, but I dont give advice about shit I've never tried. I know you know your shit with hydro. I think I remember you saying that your plants aren't happy with less than 1000ppm, but I am a stoner.

600 ppm I did half strength
Plagron 70/30 coco is the medium I’m using

Can u show me example man be much appreciated so I can have reference so just ro water with cal mag ph for now? @Renfro
I don't grow from seed very often so I don't have any photos handy, I would have to dig around the forum to find any. Just wait a week and post a picture, you will probably still need to wait. Maybe @PadawanWarrior knows where to quickly grab some photos of seedlings that have multi bladed "true leaves" I don't feel like doing that leg work. Really though, it should be pretty obvious, leaves that have more than one blade lol.

Yes, definitely add the calmag to the RO and pH it.

I usually grow from clone too. I've only grown one plant from seed in the last year and a half, but didn't really take many pics.
