how close should 2ft 4 bulb t5

How close should I have this fixture on my seedlings I’m reading inches away then 2 ft away anybody with solid experience know ideal?

They don't put off much heat. If your room temp is 73-75 you're golden. If you're worried about them putting off too much heat, just make sure plenty of air is flowing around them. Here's a pic when I had the T5's going. I have QB's in there now though.

I though it might just be the pic. The plants look pretty good. If they start stretching than definitely lower the light. I would anyways slowly if it was me to prevent that from happening.

They might want more nutes. I don't know what soil or nutrients you're using. But if they are fed enough you can have that light basically on top of them.

high ideal is 73-75 right

Without CO2 enrichment we generally wanna see a canopy temperature about 79F.

T5 and T8 is good at about 6 inches. T12 more like 1 - 2 inches. Some strains like more light than others.

Please know that I have never used any fluorescent lights in my entire growing career (30+ years) so I am not the guy to talk to really but I have consulted for commercial grows and a few used T5 for veg. They worked best at 6 inches.

Thanks man me either bro literally second grow and these are seedlings 8 days old didn’t wanna push them to hard my chilled x6 be here Tuesday I was told only use co2 in flower? @Renfro i currently moved it back up to 18 inches because the leafs looked a little lighter and also wasn’t pointing up like before when I lowered them
