No...that's 7 grams per US gallon (4 litres)Are you using 7 grams per liter from start to finish? Which week do you start the nutrients at?
Thanks. So from week 3 to week 6 you are full strength (7 grams/gallon) and then you cut back from week 7 on? How much cal-mag do you supplement with? What week do you start and stop the Cal-mag? Thanks for your help. This info is crucial for me as I am starting now and plan to use maxibloom with CaliMagic. Much appreciated.No...that's 7 grams per US gallon (4 litres)
week 1 - used only 1/4 strength
week 2 - 1/2
week 3 - full
I have recently lowered the strength slightly after 7 weeks as I'm feeding twice a day and they were showing signs of over-nutes
the amount of cal-mag required really depends on your water source, and your medium.Thanks. So from week 3 to week 6 you are full strength (7 grams/gallon) and then you cut back from week 7 on? Nice, I’m going to look into this, I’m using micro/bloom calmag, ph+ - right now. Thank you sir.yes maxibloom only with calmag....and pH+
I am doing DWC and using hydroton as my medium. My water quality has very little ppm out of the tap... About 30ppm (on the 500 scale).the amount of cal-mag required really depends on your water source, and your medium.
Your water may not require any, or very little.
If your medium is perlite or coco, then cal-mag is likely required.....if you grow in soil then it may be not required, or much less
I use a little more than recommended as my water source has very little....I use 5 to 6 ml per 4 litres (1 US gallon)
I start cal-mag from day 1 (1/4 strenght) , if not I get issues....and will use until harvest, but I do reduce slightly near the end
I have no experience with water reports, so I can't say what you should use....but start with less and increase if you see any signs of a cal-mag def
So 1/4 strength from day 1of the 5-6ml's/gallon, correct?the amount of cal-mag required really depends on your water source, and your medium.

Wow I wish I had 30 out of the tap, hard to read your report on my phone but it looks like you have like 6ppm ca and 3mag, my tap water is 60/25, I end up using RO and adding back calmag for better control.I am doing DWC and using hydroton as my medium. Calcium 6.01 mg/l and Mag is 2.5mg/lWow I wish I had 30 out of the tap, hard to read your report on my phone but it looks like you have like 6ppm ca and 3mag, my tap water is 60/25, I end up using RO and adding back calmag for better control.
Thanks! So if @ISK is saying he does 5-6 ml/GALLON of Cal and my city is saying the water already has 6.01 mg/L of Cal.... What would you do? Do I need that 5-6 on top of what is already in there?
That charts irrelevant I was just showing you the conversation, if your waters 30ppm you can treat it like RO water imo, my tap water is 250. 70ppm of that is calcium. Dose like he mentioned in ml per L or gallon and use his advice on anything else strength wise, your water sounds comparable to his. I’m not sure your medium either. Thanks! Tanner....you seem to be over thinking this cal-mag.Thanks! So if @ISK is saying he does 5-6 ml/GALLON of Cal and my city is saying the water already has 6.01 mg/L of Cal.... What would you do? Do I need that 5-6 on top of what is already in there?
Thanks. Yes, definitely in analysis paralysis mode over here. Sorry. I get it!Tanner....you seem to be over thinking this cal-mag.
What works for me may not be right for you with your water supply, and your growing medium
Bottom line: start with less (2 or 3 ml per gallon) and increase only if required....if you see signs of a cal-mag deficient then increase, otherwise don't finger poke it.
Also, when I mentioned that I reduced after 7 weeks.....that's my current grow (which are auto's) .....when growing photos I would not decrease that soon, as auto's have a much shorter life span.
You can't copy what I'm doing as my water and my grow medium and what I'm growing is likely different than yours.
The key to growing is to watch your plants and adjust when applicable
I'm planning on using KOOLbloom too when flowering starts. Maxibloom, Cal-mag, and KOOLbloom is all I plan to use.I used both and never had a single issue the entire grow. I also used KOOLbloom powder, but that stuff was very strong. A micro spoon of it is all that’s needed
Ph adjustments take time to hit equilibrium. if it's rebounding that quickly it's probably due to your waters buffering capacity. the acid is being neutralized by other minerals in the water. it can take huge amounts of ph down to get to a point of equilibrium. you can either try to keep fighting it by constantly measuring and adjusting or try to get a better water source. My pH keeps jumping. I had it at 5.8 yesterday and just checked and it’s at 7.2 now.
What could be going on? I’m in 5 gallon DWC...media is hydration. Using an air stone.
