Facebook is proven to be a crappy source of information. More like a proven source of fake news and disinformation. As is Instagram and Twitter. Your claim that "we'd never see the truth if we didn't use their content" is proven false by a very simple check on what mainstream media is producing. What you are saying is more in agreement with Trump than anything else.

That's not my point, although I will add to your statement that mainstream media vets and verifies what they post online, provides context and balances their reports by giving a voice to both sides. Therefore it is a better source of information than Facebook.
Half of the posts in Facebook are posted by disinformation campaigns, much of which is generated by Putin's troll army and the rest by right wing propaganda sources funded by who knows? Are you aware of that Facebook gave Cambridge Analytica access to information on its users without their permission? It's just the tip of the iceberg. So, it's dumb to go to an unreliable source of information to get your information, especially when you've already been turned into a chip to be played in the Right Wing poker game.

If white supremacist use this to catfish black people online and stir them up into a hate frenzy, then get a bunch of the angriest people to show up at the same place and time, plug in a couple white racists into that group that when the adrenaline is pumping starts busting shit up, do you think that counts?
How about 2 of these fuckers showing up and instead of causing violence, one of them starts a racist rant at them and gets his ass handed to him while his buddy tapes the violence, and posts just the white kid getting stomped.
It is easy to see how this is and can be used once you understand what is going on. It is a giant scam using real pain to create a explosive environment.

Mental illness doesn't fall along political lines generally. Anyone that is vulnerable is getting sorted into whatever bubble of information and pumped full of propaganda.
As people become more and more radicalized it just gets that much easier to come up with a group to blame for their actions (like ANTIFA).
The Russians are even using chats in video games to find people to target. It is scary effective.
And has just been building upon what the Russian military had at the time of this report in 2018. You can easily see what they are trying to do by the ad's words (box in second page). We Americans can't let a couple homegrown terrorists regardless of if they are cops, white nationalists, old white men, angry women calling the cops, presidents, or ambiguous groups like "ANTIFA" etc, tear us apart. Or the promotion of people acting horribly towards each other.
I am hopeful once we can get through this nightmare, we will see all the racist agendas removed of their power and our nation can get back to moving forward together in a way that we have never been able to before.
The Wealthy White Heterosexual Male Only agenda is fighting hard to not become irrelevant, and Russia is using it's military to exploit that fact.

Who is that guy who posted that stuff. Do you know him? What I'm pointing out and @hanimmal has provided details for is FB, IG, Twitter are all largely contaminated with sources from a massive psych-OPs campaign designed to destabilize the US. Your posts seemed to me to fit the profile for that.
My mocking posts about Plasma Beings were meant to point out that there are tons of fake BS on FB. That mention of the "high energy" area of the galaxy the solar system "has drifted into" is an example of the crap climate science deniers are flooding us with to enrich Exon and the fossil fuel industry. So, my main point stands. FB is a crap source of information.
That said, I have no argument with the assertion that this country is going to light up and not in a good way if a jury trial returns an not guilty verdict for the murder of Floyd. I didn't need FB to draw that conclusion, I don't even have a FB account. I took one look at the personal information they wanted in order to sign up for an account and said eff you.
FB could be a benign social media platform but its not. It IS a valuable resource to help people stay connected. But the kind of shit you posted is an example of the kind of propaganda pushed by bad actors to cause harm. So, I just pointed out that there are better sources of information.
Mainstream media outlets were hated by Nixon and white supremacists in the 60's for documenting cop brutality against black people. Mainstream media is covering today's riots and police brutality. Trump and Republicans hate them. Cops are targeting them with rubber bullets. Your claim that mainstream media covers it all up is false.
