Trump is finished

Between his handling of the Virus & his many irresponsible actions in the WH, and now with his response, or lack thereof, too really deal with the ongoing riots going on around the Nation he supposedly leads, Trump's a dead man walking & good fucking riddance.
Read this article posted in the Guardian yesterday by Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration.
He's got it right

my favorite sentences:

You’d be forgiven if you hadn’t noticed. His verbal bombshells are louder than ever, but Donald J Trump is no longer president of the United States.
By having no constructive response to any of the monumental crises now convulsing America, Trump has abdicated his office.

He is not governing. He’s golfing, watching cable TV and tweeting.

But you aren't voting for Biden. I'll bet you won't vote at all.
everyone who is eligible to vote should do so..i plan on getting my absentee from florida which i will complete, return and which not be counted; florida does not count absentee unless it's really close like the Gillum v. DeSantis race in which Gillum was WOM voter suppressed to 4th place yet really was 1st place. i helped with the recount..they had bags upon bags upon bags of absentee mail-in in opa-locka yet to be counted but couldn't because time was up.

broward county is the democratic stronghold and they didn't count our ballots.

i'm convinced mr. gillum would've been our governor had they counted everything and i may still be living there; i'm getting really good at handwriting on the wall skill.

does this answer your mis-dis-uninformed statements?

She is in Colorado and her vote means as much as mine here in Canada does there, the GOP is gonna be eviscerated in the mountains. The Trumpers and malcontents there will be like a fart in a strong wind for all the difference it will make. I tell her to donate to anti trump groups at least.

The U.S. Postal Service is the most popular government agency, with a positive rating of 90%. Even the deplorables like it.
Donald is profoundly stupid and desperate though, remember he still has no idea what a constitution is or what it means. He could paralyze the USPS, furlough it's workers or fire them en masse, claim they are spreading covid, who needs science. Those who would vote republican would think nothing about it and support it fully, except if it fucked up their monthly government check. "Who needs the post office we have the internet now!" Oddly enough Jeff Bezos would just buy all the courier and delivery companies ( he probably already has) and Amazon would make even more money. Those living in rural America would be pissed though, private companies don't deliver everywhere and the further you are in the sticks the harder it will be to get your parcel. USPS delivers everywhere, even to the non profitable places that are often full of Trumpers, some still pick up their mail at the general store.

Donald might simply see this as killing two birds with one stone, the election and Bezos.

Ya know, it's not too difficult for a state to organise their own postal service or contract it out, online voting is popular too, but mail in in far better. Smart blue states might anticipate something like this and make contingency plans, red states will be caught flat footed, as usual with Donald and long lines at few polling stations. The net effect will be to suppress the republican vote and only those highly motivated anger driven and frightened voters will stand in line, in PPE if required, all fucking day! Donald is screwed every way he turns and his habitual dirty tricks will dig his grave deeper.

I note that you used insults but did not use a denial, Karen.

Fire, pestilence , death and a country at war with itself : the Trump presidency is over ....

You’d be forgiven if you hadn’t noticed...... His verbal bombshells are louder than ever, but Donald J Trump is no longer president of the United States. No matter what he thinks .

By having no constructive response to any of the monumental crises now convulsing America, Trump has abdicated his office.
Plain and simple. He is not governing..... He’s golfing, watching cable TV and tweeting. Deflecting every possible way to resist
responsibility.

How has Trump responded to the widespread unrest following the murder in Minneapolis of George Floyd, a black man who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck for minutes as he was handcuffed on the ground?

Trump called the protesters “thugs” and threatened to have them shot. “When the looting starts, the shooting starts,” he tweeted, parroting a former Miami police chief whose words spurred race riots in the late 1960s.

On Saturday, he gloated about “the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons” awaiting protesters outside the White House, should they ever break through Secret Service lines. Yet , he scurried into the sub area bunker at the White House.
Hiding , tweeting more empty words .
Trump’s response to the last three ghastly months of mounting disease and death has been just as heedless. Since claiming Covid-19 was a “Democratic hoax” and muzzling public health officials, he has punted management of the coronavirus to the states.
Governors have had to find ventilators to keep patients alive and protective equipment for hospital and other essential workers who lack it, often bidding against each other. They have had to decide how, when and where to reopen their economies.
Madness .....

Trump has claimed “no responsibility at all” for testing and contact-tracing – the keys to containing the virus. His new “plan” places responsibility on states to do their own testing and contact-tracing.

Trump is also awol in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

More than 41 million Americans are jobless. In the coming weeks temporary eviction moratoriums are set to end in half of the states. One-fifth of Americans missed rent payments this month. Extra unemployment benefits are set to expire at the end of July.

What is Trump’s response? Like Herbert Hoover, who in 1930 said “the worst is behind us” as thousands starved, Trump says the economy will improve and does nothing about the growing hardship. The Democratic-led House passed a $3tn relief package on 15 May. Mitch McConnell has recessed the Senate without taking action and Trump calls the bill dead on arrival.

What about other pressing issues a real president would be addressing? The House has passed nearly 400 bills this term, including measures to reduce climate change, enhance election security, require background checks on gun sales, reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and reform campaign finance. All are languishing in McConnell’s inbox. Trump doesn’t seem to be aware of any of them.

There is nothing inherently wrong with golfing, watching television and tweeting. But if that’s pretty much all that a president does when the nation is engulfed in crises, he is not a president.

Trump’s tweets are no substitute for governing. They are mostly about getting even.

When he’s not fomenting violence against black protesters, he’s accusing a media personality of committing murder, retweeting slurs about a black female politician’s weight and the House speaker’s looks, conjuring up conspiracies against himself supposedly organized by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and encouraging his followers to “liberate” their states from lockdown restrictions.

He tweets bogus threats that he has no power to carry out – withholding funds from states that expand absentee voting, “overruling” governors who don’t allow places of worship to reopen “right away”, and punishing Twitter for factchecking him.

And he lies incessantly.....

In reality, Donald Trump doesn’t run the government of the United States..... He doesn’t manage anything. He doesn’t organize anyone. He doesn’t administer or oversee or supervise. He doesn’t read memos. He hates meetings. He has no patience for briefings. His White House is in perpetual chaos..... does nothing.

His advisers aren’t truth-tellers. They’re toadies, lackeys, sycophants and relatives.

Since moving into the Oval Office in January 2017, Trump hasn’t shown an ounce of interest in governing. He obsesses only about himself.

But it has taken the present set of crises to reveal the depths of his self-absorbed abdication – his utter contempt for his job, his total repudiation of his office.

Trump’s nonfeasance goes far beyond an absence of leadership or inattention to traditional norms and roles. In a time of national trauma, he has relinquished the core duties and responsibilities of the presidency.

He is no longer president. The sooner we stop treating him as if he were, the better.

I'm Canadian but you can bet I would have dove into that cop to get him off that guy's neck. Maybe I would have got shot or severely beaten up but who cares? I've been brutishly beaten a few times before and it's not all that bad. 40 years of PTSD/sleep paralysis nightmares has me ready to take any BS bullies can dish out.

Then you have to put up with Trump's BS. WTF! How has he not been removed for mental issues or just shot by his own party?

It's a total shit-show and most Americans are still blaming the black man for 500 years of slavery. Boggles my mind.

Burn down the banks or the White House before small businesses but burn Trump first!
