Incorrect. Trump was more concerned about having sycophants in the offices he can appoint than highly competent people doing the work of the nation. For some weird reason people don't like to work for dictators like Trump that will upend the work of hundreds/thousands of people are doing with a tweet because someone on TV made a comment.

Hey James, Joe isn't a factor in Trump's defeat, he's doing that all on his own, Donald is his own biggest factor in fucking up. Joe is doing just fine from the comfort of his basement rec room, who would have figured running for POTUS could be so easy. All Joe has to do is sit back with a coffee and watch Donald self destruct on TV. When your enemy is digging his own grave it's best to get out of his way, besides ya save a lot of money.
