When will i top???

Everyone has personal preference. I personally don’t see the point of letting it grow to cut it off. Wait for others to weigh in. I’m still new. When you do top leave some of the old stem to help it not split when you spread it out.
Jesus I dono what to do man I might wait until tmro nway let the fifth node come out and I'll see then thanks for your help

The reason I was given, when I used to top earlier, was for two reasons. The first reason being that they recover from the topping much faster (and they do) if you wait. The second reason is because it gives the plant time to grow a thicker main stem to better support the LST that you do after topping.

I’ve done 3rd node and 4th node and seemed like it recovers better on the 4th. I imagine that just keeps getting better as the plant gets larger.

If you want to see the difference, then top one now, and top another when it grows to 6 nodes. I do stuff like that often to see if I want to change my methods. In my current grow I topped two plants only once, and I topped the other two plants twice, just to see how the plants will fill out in flower with each method. Currently, the ones I topped only once are way more symmetrical, and the other two wound up having some weird twisted branches for some reason.

Thanks i might do that what's the best time of day to do the topping??

Watch a video on topping I use scissors but some people just pinch. Personal preference.

I used to use my Fiskars after a rinse with ISO, but now I just pinch using my thumbnail. I know there's a possibility of infection, but the time savings of just clipping when I want without other hassle is worth the risk of a plant getting sick and possibly being removed from the cycle.
