Red Alert To All USA Seed Buyers...DANGER!!!!

Exactly. My last seed purchase was 8/8/08. Thats 2.5 months since I even used that card for seeds. The people doing this have experience at ripping people off. They get their info and then lay low until they think the coast is clear. Buyer beware
Thats another though, return scammers.. The statement that "I got most of my money back" kills me.. yeah maybe you did, but now you have to change you accounts or at least change your PIN #... Here in Canada the banks are stricter than the US (obviously, by current issues).. plus the banks going to put a little check next to your name, and in future your transactions will be more scrutinized.. Money order, paypal..pre paid CC ... is the logical choice..

Wow, thanks for the info Rocky Top. It's good to put this info out there since we have to use overseas merchants to have access to this stuff there isn't alot of info on these companies. You said you sent them and email, has anyone there gotten back to you?

As far as debit cards go most of them have a Visa logo on them and if you use it as a Visa card as a credit transaction then you have the same protection as someone would using just a regular credit card. It's when you use it as a debit card (entering your pin number) that you don't get all the protections.

I tried to order from this site approx Sept 15th 08.. I saw the normal charge hit my credit card as pending.. it sat there for 3 weeks as "pending" finally it just disappeared..never got an email or heard anything from "planet wax" .. no charge so I am hoping no harm done.. but I do keep and key on my accounts via the online banking thing..

if you think that they cant get much from you just because you dont have money in that account you are dead wrong. many banks in the us will not decline the transaction if you over withdraw, your account will go into the negative and you will be charged a fee. for instance if you have $10 in your account and they decide to charge $1000 in stuff with your card, the transaction will be approved, your account will go into the negative, and you will be charged a hefty over withdrawal fee. The penalty with my bank is something like $60 USD. Many of the banks in the U.S. operate this way. so dont think your safe just because you have no money LOL.

Damn never heard that before about mj-seed.nl. Planet Wax is the merchant for that seedbank, and they played you? They got to have some pussy in their operation.

I've never had a problem with them, but seems some fag is working thier that has access to records.

Those n Attitude are my top 2.

Sorry to hear that bruh, at least you got ya funds back. Very smart on ya part; some dont even have the sense to get their $ back when they'd been literally frauded.
I ordered from both those places last week, hoping to recieve my seeds this week and looks like I will have to keep close tabs on my cc.

I believe that you can only be held accountable for $100 on any credit card on which you did not make the transaction. By law you aren't responsible if you didn't charge it. Recently they have changed it so if you blatantly do something to put it at risk then you can be held accountable but as long as you do your best to keep your number safe you are not accountable for the charges.

I've had Attitude for x odd amount of purchases have duplicate charges show up on my account pending, but one always drop off before either of them post. Others I've seen had this happen to them but Attitude quickly cleared it up as well. I think the bank that was in question now is NL. I only use the reload gift card placing the amount to spend so it neva worries me with them taking more anyhow......

There is no bank in the world that would okay me for anything more than I have in my account, like I said earlier in this thread, I don't have much in there. They wouldn't do it. I don't have a great credit score at all. Hell one time I put 2 grand in the bank to buy a pellet stove and went about a week later to buy it and they declined it and it was in there for the taking so even I couldn't get my money out. LOL

I have purchased seeds online from several companies. My 2 favorites are...marijuana-seeds.nl and Attitude. Both companies do a very good job. However, I have always used my debit card with zero issues. Today, I went to the bank to withdraw a couple a hundred bucks. My debit was declined. I knew better than that so I tried again. Still declined!

I went into my bank and asked what my balance was. When they told me 74.32 I about threw up. I knew something was wrong. I always keep around 2 grand in my account and had over 1800.00 on Friday.

They printed my last 2 weeks activity and on Saturday, I had over $700.00 withdrawn. On Sunday, I had another $700.00 withdrawn. Then this morning, they got me for $320.00! I obviously filled out disputes on these charges and in a matter of a couple of hours the bank gave me a "temporary deposit" that covered most of my loss. The bank was really helpful in working this out.

These charges were made in London GB andthankfully, I am in the USA. I have sent an e-mail to marijuana-seeds.nl explaining to them that they have a phuckin thief working for them. The bank traced it back to Planet Wax which is the name they use on all their billing. It has been over 3 months since i odered any seeds from anyone, so don't let your gurad down.

I really hate that this happened because I will NEVER use them again and they WERE one of my favs. If I would not of been on my toes, it is possible they could of kept stealing money from my account and created a bigger mess than it already is. I have had to cancel my credit cards...debit cards...open a new account and deal with all the fallout from this thief.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up and to tell you guys to be careful. It is dangerous enough to buy seeds with out worrying about the companies stealing you blind!
If you want some advice on ordering seeds with your CC, heres the best method to do so. Set yourself up with a paypal account, and then get the paypal add on. What the add on does, is allows you to use paypal to buy anything anywhere on the net even where paypal isnt accepted. What it does is, the add on basically protects your REAL cc number, and buys whatever your buying with a generated cc number provided by paypal, thats only good for the one transaction that your making. By doing this, it allows you to make your purchase, but also stops them from being able to charge any more cash to that card number, because it was just a one time number generated by paypal, and it doesnt even come close to resembling your CC number. Keeping yourself protected in situations like buying seeds, is paramount. Dont think that its a bad idea to use your CC or Debit card to make the purchases, just make sure you take proper precautions when using them. I promise you its the most secure way to buy your seeds and still be able to get them in a week or so, rather than sending in your money to them via mail, which IMHO is rediculous anyways.

So keep on using your CC, but go to www.paypal.com, and register with them, and setup your account using your cc or debit card. then, check the feature out to set up the paypall add on, and your good to go guys. I would hate to see more people get ripped off like that when theres a solution out there that prevents that shit from ever happening again.

hope that helped people,

-K1.

So what you are telling me is that fraudulent charges and charges you did not make are two different things ?

That's why you are supposed to use a pre-paid visa card. Once you have used up the money on the card it's done and they do not have axcess to you bank account. I would never use my debit or credit card that could be traced back to me. So i guess you order using your real name and the address you are growing at too. Not very smart at all. That's how people get busted.

I have a safe addy I use and a fake name for my seed delivery. However, using my debit was not the best choice. My bank is telling me I am responsible for the first $50 in fraudulant charges and I also have to go back to the bank and sign a sworn afidavit (sp) that I was not the person making the charges. Just more red tape. All this hassel is mainly due to the prohibition on pot. It's maddening. Oh well, it is the culture that most of us must live in.
