1st time grower here. My plant is 26 days old and I'm using a 600 watt grow light. The light is approximately 6 inches away from top of plant. She is about 8 inches tall and a foot wide. Is there anything I can do to make her grow taller?

Is your light a purple LED that was purchased on Amazon? If so, it's likely only drawing 60W, not 600W.

You need better lighting if the above is true.

Can't get a different light atm. Will she get taller using my current light and will nutes help
Nutrients are critical to all plants, cannabis included. You start feeding proper nutrients when the time is right (bottom leaves starting to yellow a tiny bit).

The plant will still grow under that lamp, just not very fast, and not very well.

She'll get taller once you switch to flower and she starts to stretch. I have a Gorilla Glue that was about 10" when put into flower.
Now...about 48".

What’s the brand of light you have? And 6 inches is a bit close. Plants stretch when they’re trying to reach for the lights, not when you place them directly under it. Kind of like roots that try to search for water when the soil dries in comparison to when the soil is wet they don’t search. Like the above said, plants will double, sometimes triple in size when switched to 12/12. Topping the plant will also increase the size as well creating more tops.

Yea a $50 grow light won’t get you far unfortunately. I recommend upgrading your light, otherwise you will end up with fluffy light buds that won’t yield much weight.

Stepson is using a 1000 watt light he paid 100 bucks for on Amazon and his tree is approx 5 feet tall
You need to go off the actual draw of the light instead of what they advertise it as. If you buy a cheap LED light off eBay or Amazon then a very rough guideline to go off of is that you will want at least 50 watts per square foot. So, for example, if you have a 4' x 4' grow tent (16 square feet), then you want a light that draws close to 800W. Most of the cheap "1000W" LED lights you see only draw about 240W each so you would need three of those for 16 square feet.
