AB Growers club...

I'm in BC now, but lived in AB for nearly a decade, and still travel there reasonably frequently for business (Calgary). I'm also an avid mountain explorer, and I absolutely love the east side of the Rockies.

I know a few growers in AB, but I've lost touch with the breeders I knew there as they've moved away.

I'm specifically looking to get in touch with other breeders in western Canada, so if you know of any here on RIU, I'd love to chat.

Been pretty hectic, the virus has only slowed things down a little for me at the moment.

Haven’t stopped growing. Pretty much perpetual. Pheno hunting right now, tying to get some good strains under my belt. Going to try my hand at breeding once I acquire a stable.

How’s your projects going? Perfecting those auto strains?

Going to pop some auto’s soon for the four plant outdoor this summer... but pretty much switched to photos indoor atm.

Flowering out an old school kinda grow. OG and Cataract Kush, Blue Dream and Critical Cheese.

Just started some pyramid Tutankhamen seeds to pheno hunt. Should be ready for flower in three weeks.

After that I’m going to focus on hunting CBD strains for awhile. They work wonders for me I’m finding.

And since it’s summer I’m gardening soon. Starting tomatoes this weekend. I grow em indoors with micro greens already but it’s salsa making season.

CBD salsa? Lol

I did make Holy Annointing Oil on Easter. Works good, smells great. Check ICMAG for the recipe. They have the best Coco forum of stickies too.

Glad to hear your keeping busy..I guess we'll see how the Autos turn out this Summer...

I've been working on that Auto webbed strain over winter (breeding in high THC strain photoperiods) so I now have a bunch of f2's that should show the recessive webbed leaf again..I'll work that a few more generations to see what pans out..

Good luck with your new run..Iran a Blue Dream a couple years back, but seemed to be more indica than sativa..hopefully your's seems more legit

I started some kale and tomatoes in my clone tent a couple of weeks ago. I'm currently hardening them off. The kale will be planted outdoors this weekend, along with potato, carrots and beets. Still a little early for some other things like beans yet.

I might have to do a bean swap one day and try one of those duckfoot autos you’re breeding! They sound neat.

Yeah it’s my second run of this Blue Dream. It’s leaning Sativa. I got a cut. I’m actually going through my cuts making cuts lol. Not sure if I’ll keep it after this run as I think theres better Sativa out there.

I don't eat a lot of it. It's mainly for my 10 year old white rabbit, Gandalf. Kale is the backbone of his multi fruit and vegetable diet.

He eats all of the healthy foliage that comes from my cannabis plants as well. He loves that stuff. He won't eat bud at all though, I've tried. Only healthy leaves.

Welcome...
Looks like a few Alberta threads got yanked, so figured we'd invite any of those we can recall ...

Cheers

So question...Are any of you fellow prairie growers doing any growing outdoor, and if so, what strains? Tried them in the past..Have they finished on time?

Howdy

Getting my garden going as well, I am trying to top my last years tomato harvest and going with 13 romas, 6 arctic plenty, 3 early girl, 2 jellybean. Peppers are jalepeno, douce and Marconi, about 12 plants I think. Love makin salsa, damn near out from the 50 lbs of tomatoes last year. The only thing ready to go into ground is kale and spinach are going into ground in a few days. Kale did shit last year and was eaten up by bugs. Cucumbers, turks turban are planted indoors.

Going to grow a couple autos to see how they do. Only photo that I've heard finishes here is Iranian.
