Please explain how he CAUSED the food shortages? And honestly, I have yet to see a food shortage. Shelves arent plentiful but I have been able to get everything i wanted to get when i went to the grocery store over the last month. Food shortages arent a thing for most of us. Look at the unemployment rate in China.... NO ONE is working except the medical professionals. The US is still running at well over 50%.
My, how sensitive you are about criticism of the orange one.
I agreed with you that Trump was not responsible for the pandemic. But then you authoritarian types want obedience and are not satisfied with agreement where it can be made.
Trump was informed about developments in China in early January and DID NOTHING. Even worse, he mocked people who were concerned. When the lid blew off and it became clear he was trying to gaslight us over this deadly epidemic, OF COURSE people are going to ignore assuring messages about the security of supplies of food and necessities. OF COURSE people went into stores practically all at once to stock up on supplies without a plan in place because nobody was prepared ahead of time. Only now, weeks after Gov Brown issued stay at home orders to Oregon, have stores been able to restock. OF COURSE Trump's intransigence over the risks of this pandemic made the economic shock worse. People were laid off in massive numbers once Trump's gaslighting the epidemic failed and we could all see that the virus was seeded in cities across the country. We HAD to go home and stay there because Trump's administration of buffoons left us naked to the disease without any means of testing for it.
Everything Trump did made this worse. Not only that but it's created a partisan divide over social distancing. Republicans are deliberately breaking social distancing orders while Democrats look on from a safe distance. Those fuckers are making everything worse.
Republicans are saying Democrats are trying to destroy this country by "cure being worse than the disease" propaganda. You guys are a canker sore on this nation. The effects of the economic effects of this epidemic are made worse if we do little or nothing, not the other way around.
Republicans have not let the matter go either. Just Tuesday of this week, your standard bearer said this:
RUSH: I have an overriding sense of foreboding here, folks. I'm really in a dilemma as to how much of what I really think do I share with you.

This just can’t go on. We cannot go on like this for months. We are going to destroy the country or the economy, however you want to look at it. The favorite word of Millennials is “sustainable.” Well, this isn’t sustainable. And we, as a society, down the road are going to be faced with some really, really serious questions that we cannot avoid. The longer we go, the more unavoidable answering some of these questions is. I don’t mean to be speaking cryptically. I’m doing something that’s somewhat uncharacteristic for me. I’m speaking safely here. I may dance around this, but this just can’t go on like this.
