Yup, so quote something where im recommending them, or anything beyond reporting findings?hlg vs hgl whole thread
Ran them for a different purpose & openly stated that. I take interest in spectrum as well as false claims & have always wanted to try burple. I told the truth so anyone who read it through knows my conclusions.dont gotta just you running them and them being known for their rep scammie has reported many growers to cops etc why would u even grow with their brand and advertise for them that itself is enough to call u a shill imo how much info on scammie before your thread what do u expect
I would recommend a CMH. They last much longer than a MH or HPS. I run mine in just flower and only replace the bulb every 4 years. They put out a far better spectrum of light. 315watt CMH is equal to about a 600watt HPS and they create far less heatYou absolutely can blend the light of an LED with that of an HPS And you will get better/different results.
A question I've been asking myself lately is what type of light blends best with LED? CMH, MH, HPS or ???
+1 on CMH: they have much less infrared than a HPS which means you can run environment similar to what led needs (+27C). Last summer our grow hit 30C with cmh without too much problems. If you wanna do HPS+Led then its best to stagger the lights and make sure you get a decent blend but it would mean not being able (or having to?) keep temps as high as you would usually with led.I would recommend a CMH. I'm running a Phillips. I would like to try the Hortilux since it has even more UV but my bulb still has 2 1/2 years of life left so it will be a while before that happens. What's the best brand ofCMH?
Was getting some lighting plans from Gavita in the Netherlands and their advice was a blend of CMH and HPS. I'm talking 60 lights.CMH would be the one! Or whatever you have already.
Really guys??? Give it up.
I'm also running a combo of LED and CMH. I'm on my first indoor grow but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. CMH is Sun System with a Phillip's bulb and the led's are SF 1000's inside a 4 x 4 tent. Nope nobody paid me a penny to plug anything in my garden, I just like letting people know what's working for me specially since I'm a total newb and have managed to keep my ladies alive so far. Day 45 since flipping to 12/12 Plants are on day 45 since going 12/12.What's the best brand ofCMH?

Keep it simple mate. people tend to over complicate it and add too much product to their mediums due to the fact hydro shops are in the business of selling you everything on the shelf. If growing in coco my fav products are GH, although I just imported some Green Planet , Haven't run it yet. Thanks, real learning experience. No. 315 watt CMH isn't close to the output of a 600watt HLG LED light. If I was looking at buying and my choices were the CMH or HLG, I'd personally just buy 2 315watt CMH. Cost of the HLG is around $800. 2 complete CMH setups will run ya around $450, even less if you ditch the reflector and run a vertical bare bulbSo u think a 315w hortilex would be better than a 600w hlg led?
Sounds like a great setup! Hope to someday be able to setup a more permanent grow space but till then the tent for a winter grow and a couple outdoor plants during the summer months is plenty to keep this novice busy. I'm trying to keep it simple but yeah i'm a sucker and was sucked into the bottled nutrient game. Mainly Roots and NOTGS because I was trying to stay organic based as possible. Next grow i'm gonna go with a boxed granular assortment for bloom it worked well for the veg cycle!Keep it simple mate. people tend to over complicate it and add too much product to their mediums due to the fact hydro shops are in the business of selling you everything on the shelf. I'm in New Zealand. So we use what we get. I have to import my GH. I think they are the best or atleast one of them.Sounds like a great setup!
