Nope, I was providing accurate, responsible information and we were discussing this topic for a while on RIU, before Trump and the media discovered it. What are you doing to help? I warned in my posts that this was conjecture and not science. You are being deceptive and malicious in your posts, anybody can look it up here, everything is documented.
This might help, we don't know, the doctors knew all about it and that's how I knew, from several of the medcram videos I watched and posted here. You should have watched them too before mouthing off with bullshit.

Ya don't need letters behind your name to discuss current events, if we did, everybody here would have degrees in political science and law. Cite one of my posts on hydroxychloroquine that you take issue with because of inaccuracy, or of me making false claims. I claim no special knowledge or expertise and I back everything up with a link or a very good video by an expert source. Here's an example to help folks understand the issue better:

You can't acquire chloroquine without a prescription here and it should not be taken outside of a hospital, if you are in a third world country (no prescription) or even the USA, your doctor might prescribe it in a dire emergency. Somebody has been, because the stocks were depleted before Trump mouthed off and those were doctors who were prescribing it or stockpiling it.
If the hospital system is overwhelmed as it is anticipated, many people will be taking hydroxychloroquine at home by prescription from their doctor. I believe I mentioned it to the Captain that he might want to mention it to his doctor, since his local medical system is about to be overwhelmed and guys like him will be left to fend for themselves. I never told anybody to eat aquarium cleaner and resent the implication that I behaved irresponsibly here, you are full of shit.
People will be given this in overwhelmed medical systems, even though there is no solid science behind it, it's an emergency situation and doctors are making the calls, they think it's worth a shot. It's not their fault, or mine that Trump has latched onto it and is touting it like a snake oil salesman. I've been trying to help folks understand what all the fuss is about.

It's not proven to be effective, yet. Hydroxychloroquine is a better tolerated and a more effective zinc ionophore. These drugs were suppose to work in other viruses, in theory, but were not effective, caution is called for. There is no harm in doctors using these drugs in experimental treatments however, there are few ethical issues with this research, these drugs are proven safe for use in humans.
