Yeah that time of low sixtys and a few days of 50s in second week of June as day time high night time lows in the 40s. Previously it was mid to high 90s, then next morning 60s and 50s for a full week. Surprised a lot of growers as we were so close to solstice. I had a few in every garden to dig up and replace. Not strain specific in preflowering. It wasn't just a hair at the node. But full on top getting bunchy and tight forming that paintbrush of hairs look. I repotted the ones dug up and just put them in dep. Other growers tried to push them thru with mixed results. Some got out of their funk, some after two weeks weren't coming out of it. Always good to have extras on the side just in case
Its not just light length that can trigger preflower.
Ive always got some runts that dont grow as fast as the rest. Or extras on the side.
I leave them in their 3 gal bags to get root bound and am harvesting in July, small nugs and colas. Fire smoke as good as my light dep. Just getting root bound bad enough will trigger flowering too.
Its best to be safe, wise and prudent when growing and giving advice.
I guess you cant if you haven't even harvested 100 pounds in a full term season. Hobbyists sheesh.
