I am not afraid of this virus..but . I do worry for the elderly, and unhealthy that it’ll kill . This shit isn’t like outbreak , we can’t just kill a monkey host and find a cure ... lol I’m losing money and work also cause of this whole debacle .

My flat mate and best friend has just come back from Europe with his girlfriend, when he landed a plane also landed carrying people from north Italy, which is a hotspot area for Corona Virus right now. Within hours both he and his girlfriend were sick.. violently ill, temperatures way higher than normal.. cold sweats, generally feeling like death.. so my flat mate called 111 which in the UK is a direct line to the NHS (national health service) where a nurse speaks to you and offers medical advice. Basically the NHS thinks he has Corona Virus and has had to self isolate for 14 days. They’re doing tests as we speak. Unfortunately whilst you all laugh, this directly affects me as I live with him. I don’t feel ill at all, but I’ve smoked a joint per 2 hours I’m awake since he got ill as I swear the stuff keeps illness away...I have to take 2 weeks off work paid sick - even though I’m not sick! but the NHS have taken blood samples and also insisted all clothes he wore at the airport are disposed of as they’re potentially contaminated! It’s very scary! You’re just reading about it behind a screen.

imagine knowing someone close to you might have it, imagine how scared you’d feel knowing that if you get it you might die... that’s not nice!!

tRUmp retards are not good at math. Corona virus is 34 times as deadly as the average flu, it also has a much higher rate of people needing hospital care including many more for intensive care. It's also is more contagious, 30% to 50% catch the flu each year and they expect at least 70% will get the corona virus. This thing is just getting started and the numbers will explode.

I’m confident we will be fine. We are both fit and in our late 20’s - it’s not definitely confirmed as Corona yet the results take 24-48 hours to come back. Worse case scenario I get very sick but I think death is unlikely even though I do worry. My concern after my own health would be others - how many people I come into contact with daily and it’s the elderly and people with pre existing medical problems that will suffer worse.

Flu season starts in September so your numbers are for the whole flu season. This corona virus has been here for maybe 6 weeks with a two week incubation period, it's just getting started and will dwarf your numbers once it starts to really spread. The only positive thing is that warm weather might slow it down but they are predicting that it will take off again when it cools. The Spanish flu started in March in the US and didn't kill that many people but when it returned again in the fall it killed 2%.
