Facts aren’t welcome. But fear can come on in!!! Lmfao this is too funny to quit. You guys are grown men worried about something washing your hands solves? Seems like there is worse stuff to worry about IMO. Good luck with getting over your fear or you could just wash your hands.
Many members here are over 60 newbie and a lot of them post here and this is grim fucking news in deed with a lot of pissed off folks who have friends and family on the line. Ya catch more flies with honey than shit sonny. If not...

Here’s the whole point since my first post.

As of now it’s 19 dead. That sucks no matter what age. However, 102 people die per day on average in car accidents. Do you ever think about stopping driving? No that’s silly.

There’s worse things killing way more people in the country everyday. Why is everyone focused on this. Put 8.2 billion into vehicle safety and the 102 might go down.

Exactly one more person posting with no clue what’s going on. Seems to be a theme in this thread
I have been able to pick up a few clues along the way. We are in the 1st few months of a year long slog. When we get enough tests to test everyone who needs it we will have a better idea of what we are up against. But rest assured more than 17 folks will be dead before there is a vaccine ready. And as many have said, the flu kills millions. That is with background immunity and lots of folks getting the vaccine. This new bug is only about 2K times as deadly as the flu, so what's the big deal?

You know Trump is thinking summer can't get here fast enough.

Cant report it if you can't test for it.

What’s the big deal? The big deal is that it’s a very real virus and it’s killing people... the spread and threat is very real. When it’s in your face you’ll soon think differently - you’re just reading about it on the news but when it’s on your doorstep it’s scary as fuck!

My flat mate and best friend has just come back from Europe with his girlfriend, when he landed a plane also landed carrying people from north Italy, which is a hotspot area for Corona Virus right now. Within hours both he and his girlfriend were sick.. violently ill, temperatures way higher than normal.. cold sweats, generally feeling like death.. so my flat mate called 111 which in the UK is a direct line to the NHS (national health service) where a nurse speaks to you and offers medical advice. Basically the NHS thinks he has Corona Virus and has had to self isolate for 14 days. They’re doing tests as we speak. Unfortunately whilst you all laugh, this directly affects me as I live with him. I don’t feel ill at all, but I’ve smoked a joint per 2 hours I’m awake since he got ill as I swear the stuff keeps illness away...I have to take 2 weeks off work paid sick - even though I’m not sick! but the NHS have taken blood samples and also insisted all clothes he wore at the airport are disposed of as they’re potentially contaminated! It’s very scary! You’re just reading about it behind a screen.

imagine knowing someone close to you might have it, imagine how scared you’d feel knowing that if you get it you might die... that’s not nice!!

before anyone even calls bullshit - 2nd photo edited with black mark to cover hospital name which gives away my town

2k times as deadly? Lmfao
Is that your estimate?
Not mine. I'm not a pandemic specialist. But the pro's do talk about that sort of thing. Folks like me can read about it. The numbers have changed, so the 2KX is no longer right. Now it's only 332X's as deadly.

From WaPo. . . . . . By comparison, influenza — known as the common flu — has infected as many as 45 million Americans since October and killed as many as 46,000, according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Simple math. . . . will show a death rate of 0.10222222222% for the flu. It's early days for C19, so the numbers will likely go down more when we test more, but at the 3.4% number the WHO was talking about, that is 332.6X.
