Id be pissed if it were a male..lol.. am a bit nervous about thinning for case of turning herm. Am just gonna take it easy and only thin the lower dence areas and the occassional light blocker fan leaf here or there...thats what i am mot anxious about.....she gonn defo be getting thirsty soon thogh as soon as those colas start popping up - STELTHY

I got one of the 2 new SJ bloom tled and added that under her canopy facing up .. and lost one of the 2700k CFLs ... it's so BRIGHT in that 3x3 LMFAO - STELTHY

Yeah baby !! - It came \m/ ... I lost the UVA-bp ..and added the Optic Phantom XL dimmable and the temps have gone down .. I am running it at less than half power at the moment ..just to gauge what the plant can handle ...

I am not done yet though ...as I have a few more wavelengths to throw in there .. The optic is much whiter in light color but when you turn it up it illuminates nicely .. on my next girl I'll tidy all cables and set things up better .. but for my first attempt in over 6 years... I think I and she are doing alright.. still no sign of pre flowers yet though... cant wait defoliate...as that in my mine signals the beginning to the end and best efforts must be made to ensure maximum quality smoke is at the finish line - STELTHY

looooooking NICE!! yeah just gotta watch for those taco'ing leaves. I can't really seem to get past 345w on my 2 rspec qb's before all the tops are taco'ing so that seems to be where i'm stuck at for the moment :/

Just don't defoliate too much. After defoliating quite a bit on mine and tanking my nute requirements mid flower, causing burn, I did some research and found some scientific papers saying that flowers/buds don't have any photoreceptors at all and they don't do photosynthesis, only the leaves do. At least on every other flowering plant in existence. I also saw some people that did some experiments with clones on other forums and found they got around half the yield from lollipopped plants compared to non-lollipopped plants. Those weren't really scientific at all but interesting correlations between them and the scientific papers(i don't have links handy, sorry :/ )

So really I guess I'm saying, despite all the lollipopping/yield articles and posts, try to only defoliate enough to make sure you can get enough airflow through the canopy. Don't lollipop it/massive defoliation or you might run into issues like I did. But don't take my word for it, this is just my 2cents from what I've done and seen recently, I don't have any personal proof either way about it.

Cheers dude, yeah it had to be the heat that caused the taccoing..i clocked 31oC the other day.. Not good.. But with the T8 out and the Phantom in..the heats backed down to 27oC...still a little high..but i hope when my 4th Optic 1 3500k turns up and i loose a CFL or 2 i hope to hover around 24 to 26 oC..

Nah not gunna strip her just take off some shoots and clean up a bit lower down...then i will only remove fan leaves that are blocking or shading lower bud sites.. But nowhere as extreme as the trim up i gave on point of switching 12 12.. It did her good though...not gonna risk that in flower though...

Yeah man, ive studied leaves.. Theres no point in having fancy multi chan lights if the are no leaves to make good use of them and turn that light into growth power.. ant the color green allows better penetration of the other lighting and spectal colors when combined in raw form..I also know that plants breath from the under side of their leaves so gonna add some virtical fans blowing up from under the canopy...i only lolipop up to 12 12 then a strategic trim then let her do as she pleases...exiting times though.. - STELTHY

I am tempted to lose the lens on the Phantom XL ..I watched either a MIGRO or OPTICLED youtube vid and it was explained that if the protective lens was removed a 5% increase of light output can be achieved ...I may hold off until the other Optic1 turns up.. I dont so much need MORE LIGHT..but I am in favor of cleaner light..that dimmer switch is worth its weight in gold - STELTHY

Every day now she seems to be growing 2 to 3 inches taller .. ideally shes got a max. of 12 inches taller she can grow ..after that my light gap between the bottom of the light at its highest point to the top of the canopy will be depleting backwards from 12 inches .. so fingers crossed shes done stretching soon ..plus am anxious to start thinning and defoliating - STELTHY

I've also found that putting green tinted Algae water in my humidifier thing ...seems to be doing a better job than clean new tap water that's been left to stand for a day for the chlorine to evaporate off.. ... the plant like the mankiness of the green tinged water more ...at least thats how it appears to me ... - STELTHY

I've decided to give this FRUIT MACHINE a try .. wasnt sure whether to use it as well as or instead of canna boost.. so I did half my normal boost a 19ml of FM 1 ml per litre.. so I'll be keeping a watchful eye on her to see what effects take place etc... its says to use in weeks 2 to 3 of flower ..and if my calculations or memory serves me correct I flipped to 12 12 on the 10th of Feb which puts me at the end of week 3... hopefully I've made it in time... - STELTHY

Well it's nearly 5 weeks since turning 12 12 .. I pray for some bud sites to show soon ... it's taking ages !! ... I've decided to trim and thin now as the canopy is mental thick !! ... I've added my new lights ... still waiting on another 3500k cob and another UV band .. anyhow ...that's this weeks update - STELTHY

The only thought is, at least one of those lights is staying on when the rest are off. That's all I got if its 12/12... Could try doing 11 on 13 off but I'd still be thinking its one of the lights.
