Short answer.... its the FFOF ....

Typical effect of a slightly “ hotter “ mix - some strains burn a little. BUT they will acclimate .

Add No nutes at this time. Just water as needed.

Plant will harden up from it. It will feed that plant for weeks .... on water ONLY. Just ph your water to be close to the PH of ffof. Fox farm ocean chimes in at 6.3 out of bag. Ph water 6.5-6.7 to use.

Ffof can feed for an easy 6 weeks plus HF is mildly ammended as well. I usually do either a top dress of FFOF to “ recharge “ soil for feeding OR top dress Dry Fert like Dr. Earth LIFE or Flower girl at a tablespoon for a 3 gallon container / 2 for a 5 gallon bucket. No bottles , boosters or multi bottle bullshit.

Ridiculously simple.
ok so your a fox farm grower. so then you know why i was worried lol. my plants are about 3 weeks old an thought it was kinda strange that leaf turning yellow.there was no yellowing then all a sudden i noticed them.yeah i was gonna top dress with the dr earth veg.i just wanted to make sure everything was ok .now with the fox farm soil will the ph fluctuate ?

I started a thread in the newbie section about people who are against weed purposely giving bad advice. Why on earth would he tell the op his grow would do fine with a ph of 8.5 in soil? I’m done
no he wasnt saying that i said i made a boo boo and watered my plants then checked the ph is was around 8.5.

yeah
He said

maybe knock back ya ph to 7.5-7 but they will be fine if u dont.
That’s suggesting you’ll be ok in 8.5 imo
yeah think he meant my water.
i know the ph for my soil should be around 6.5 . i was thinking giving them the 8.5 ph water is what caused the leaves to turn yellow but also looked up a bunch online tryin to figure out whats causing it.i was hoping someone that dealt with the situation could help out hehe. i wanna get my first time growing a good one lol.But alot says nuts burn. But im using living soil and read i wouldnt get the burn so im a lil confused.

No worries man. Buddha is right, FFOF is hot, but your plants will adjust, and they'll be super happy if you just give them plain water for awhile. I used the same pots of FFOF for the first 3 grows before I turned it into a true no-till living soil. I did only use organics in it the whole time though.

And the last person you want to take advice from is Rob. I don't think he even has ever grown before honestly.

I just added amendments to my original FFOF. FFOF is a decent base for a living soil. I don't have any compost pile, but EWC or vermicompost is always awesome for organic soil.

No ... if you keep your water going in the same. Ffof has oyster shell / lime to control ph. Plus the ph I mentioned will allow for “ drift “. However it also depends in what kind if water you use. I dont use distilled or evian bullshit. I use tap .. municipal water comes pretty loaded with calcium and mag But mine is about 7.2 and easy to drop with a pinch of ph crystals. However if yours is pretty jacked , you can use RO ( add some calmag back ) and you are golden.

Sometimes i add kelp to watering after week 2 of flower to boost growing buds . You could add a little molasses ( for myco in soil ) to keep them breaking down elements for plant. Its basically junk food for them. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon water.
Note : Dr. Earth Has 2% molasses in it already.
The more i use Dr. Earth the more i like it.
Actually like it better than megacrop.

since the water here was reading around 8.5 on a test strip should i lower the ph in the water ?because 8.5 almost 9 seems a lil high lol

Go have a wank to Star Wars lol who even names themselves after that ? 46 year old virgins
I'm not really a Star Wars freak. I just thought it was a good way to say that I'm a rookie trying to become the master. I tried to do "Young Grasshopper", but someone already thought of that one, lol.

I just don't think you should be giving advice about growing weed. I haven't seen one pic of any of your plants. Here's a few shots of mine I took a few minutes ago, at day 16 since flip. All these are clone only versions. Let's see what you've got going on now, lol.

yeah i did a boo boo though i used my houses well water and it had around a ph of 8.5 i think. i used test strip so its like kinda guessing.
Lemon juice, citric acid will both lower Ph. Just an 1/8th of a teaspoon of citric acid powder (its cheap on amazon, citric acid crystals) to a gallon of 7.7 tap water drops it down to about 6.5

Your plants fine man. Adding more nutes will likely only cause you issues. Water with 6.5-6.8 ph and take a chill pill. When you get into flower consider using a top dress nutrient that is for "bloom" and a blend close to 2-8-4.
