Making seeds

I appreciate y'alls input very much!!

I had purchased an outdoor tent(10x10 white translucent greenhouse) for my seed growing.

My mother plant that I am going to spray with CS is currently about 5' tall.

The target plants are currently about 6" tall and I plan to start their flowering when they are about 1-2 ft.

My plan was to surround the mother with the much smaller target plants and let them pollinate on their own.

Would that work?

I would, but it's not completely necessary. If you start them at the same time, the flower plant will be much farther into flower than if you started the pollen plant first. The seed plant will have to flower a fair amount of time beyond the optimum harvest window, so the seeded bud won't be as good (in my humble opinion). I use the remains of the seeded bud after seeds are removed. Mostly for cooking with, but I digress.

If you're going to let it happen naturally, you'll still want to cut down the pollen plants and shake them around over top of the females to get maximum pollination. However, know that pollen is exceptionally light, and will float around. It can stick to things, and then get freed up later, possibly pollinating plants you didn't intend.

Also, if you go that route, be sure to remove all clothes far away from any production flower areas, and shower before entering said flowering areas. Because you'll have pollen everywhere, you'll want to ensure you're pollen-free after each visit to that space. Much easier, albeit more time consuming to be surgical about the application if doing the work indoors.
