Begginers luck

OK firstly I am a begginer having only been growing for a couple of years now, frustratingly my crops have went from 158 oz (1st crop) right down to 85 oz (7th crop)
Every crop since my first has dropped about 5 to 10oz every time.
Set up has been the same every time
2 tents 10 plants each tent
3 600w bulbs each tent
same soil, same feed etc, I know some strains are quite hardy and may produce more yields but my 1st crop and by far the best was thc but I have grown this again twice with much poorer results. I am reluctant to change anything to much because if I can have a excellent first crop I should be able to repeat the process again, or so I thought. Going from 158 oz down to 85oz on my last crop and not knowing the cause is doing my head in, even more puzzling is the fact that each crop 7 in total has dropped the same yield every time about 5 to 10oz. 158,140,120,115,90,85,80.
I didn't think there was such a thing as begginers luck when it comes to growing any plant, normally I though the more you grow the more experienced you become not in my case...

Im going to guess if you had such a successful first harvest your temps probably are not out of line. What about the soil? You said you used the same soil. Did you use the same line of soil? Or the exact same pot of soil? Might seem like a stupid question but if your using the same pots, theres likely no nutritional value left for your girls at all. :)

OK used same type of soil which is renewed after every crop pots tents etc all thoroughly cleaned, temperature has always been ok, first crop was over the winter this time 2 years ago and temp was spot on, found during the summer temp was getting a bit high and harder to control so a bit less yield maybe expected, bit the last crop just about to be done as we speak has been over the same months and I can see that it is very poor again

Could it possibly be you're harvesting to quickly? Doing the math, you've done 7 grows in 24 months.mthats an average of 3.4 months, or 13.6 weeks per grow. Assuming you veg for 8 weeks that only leaves about 5 weeks for flowering. 6 week veg leaves 7 weeks for flower. Seems pretty quick.

I am going to be very honest with you veg and flowering stages are decided by another person who has been growing for many many years and is very experienced, I look after the plants daily but he decides the times for the different stages / change of feed etc, I am almost 100% certain that he is pretty sure what he is doing with regards to this and plants are always ready and nothing is rushed. Normally whole process is in between 12 to 14 wks

Strains and or phenotypes could be varying factors.

Also, environment plays a big role. Example, if you don't have a climate controlled room, the humidity and temperature can affect these numbers dramatically. Example is in the summer if your room is really hot and humid the buds will come out shwaggy and not dense, in a cooler room with 50% humidity the buds will be hard and dense. My friend who grows in a little closet runs some of my cuts and kills it in the winter but in the summer they are trash and gets way less grams per what.

So that first harvest you say you got 10 pounds so that's 10 1/2 pound plants in each tent under 3 600s something don't seem to add up?

From this....4424g / 3600w = 1.23g, per watt
To this....2240g / 3600w = .62g per watt

And this guy..... "who has been growing for many many years and is very experienced, I look after the plants daily but he decides the times for the different stages / change of feed etc, I am almost 100% certain that he is pretty sure what he is doing".....has nothing to lend in terms of correcting your issue? Hmmm...

Hi not sure about pounds, first crop yield was 158 ounces from 20 plants 10 in each tent. Both tents have 3 bulbs in each tent all 600 watts. I am assuming in fact I'm quite sure both tents yielded pretty much the same, what would you suggest does not add up cheers

If you are not growing the same clone every single time ... then your yields will always be different. Period. No two seeds are the same.
Seems this is probably the most likely cause of the drop in yields rather than us doing something wrong or different
