The approve/disapprove polling numbers have been range-bound and relatively unchanged Trump's entire time in office. Ever since he took office he's had low polling numbers and not so much before he took office. Perhaps this shows there was buyer's remorse over Trump by moderate conservatives. Ever since he took office, GOP have been trashed in elections they had thought they were safe and more than trashed in contested ones. So, even if Trump has more support than any of those 3 mentioned in this poll, I wonder how it would go after the primary, when ONE of them has the nomination and that mystery third party candidate with 14% is identified.
I don't think that Trump's support will ever see gains. Those supporting him now are his die-hard base of idiots and racists.
Also, support shown for impeachment is an indication that Trump and the GOP may be facing trouble next year. The act of impeaching Trump has solidified the opinion of a large majority of independent voters about Trump, who say they agree with impeaching Trump for abuse of office.
