Good Start?

IMG_20191218_093559.jpgIMG_20191218_093300.jpgThese are some seedlings I started awhile back. The pictures above is a strain called Nitroglycerin and it's two and a half weeks in.

The picture above is the strain sour og and was sprouted a week after the nitro.

I'm wondering if they look like a good start to you all? I'm growing in a 2x2x4 tent with a 45w led for veg. I will be flowering under an 800w led. I've only been giving RO water until last night when I sprayed them with a quarter strength solution of Foxfarm grow big which is now going into their regular feeding schedule after seeing no adverse effects. If they look a bit stunted it's because I haven't been keeping my temps up. The best I can do is 75 during the day and 65F at night. My humidity is also a bit under 40% so I've been trying to combat that with the foliar spraying. Any comments or questions are welcome. I just wanna git gud at this.

@OrganicBudz Spot on read. I actually did overwater in the beginning because I wasn't sure if germinating seeds needed drainage holes. I've been cutting back to just a foliar spray until the soil feels dry to touch. I didn't think it needed nutes yet either but since the Foxfarm bottle actually had a dilution ratio for seedlings I thought I'd try it. It's just a 1/2 tsp of grow big to a gal of water.

@Arnski5000 The wet towel thing sounds like a perfect low cost solution. I actually have a towel under the plants to catch drainage and insulate from my tile flooring but I had been changing it out when wet to keep things warm. I'll probably wet a different towel and hang it from the metal frame of the tent.

Looking good so far bud, Question though, will you be flowering in the same 2x2x4 space? does that 800w light have a dimmer built in? If not that 800w led (depending on the type of led it is) may be too much, i do a perpetual 4 plants in a 2x2 area with 600w leds., also 45w is great to pop seeds/start clones under, even early veg under it will be fine however going from a 45w straight to 800w is going to be a shock for the plants, if you could get your hands on a 150w or 200w led then you could use that for veg, the 45 for seedlings, and the 800 for flower, this will help ease your plants into the intensity. I know plenty of people use solo cups, i personally try to avoid them, except for the clear ones which i use as individual seedling humidity domes, if your going to use them for grow media then please put drainage holes.. also for seedlings/cuttings avoid top watering, make sure your cups have drainage holes then you can just sit them in like an 1/2 inch of water every couple of days, applying the water from the bottom will make the roots strive to grow downward toward it.

Get trays for your pots. and use a clean damp towel. I hang mine over a clothes hanger and make sure it don't drip on ya plants

@DailyBlastin Yes, I plan to run the full cycle from seed to harvest as well as drying in the tent. It's an 800w equivalent but not too sure on the dimmer switch feature as I've not yet ordered it. Do you think it will be a fatal shock or just a period of stunting? By top watering I think you mean the foliar spraying right? I just heard it's good to do until the root system is bigger but I'll probably stop doing that for the nitro since it's got more leaves.

@MickFoster I agree, my plants are extremely small and given that they are nice and green it's probably my temperatures getting so low at night. I can't really fit a space heater in the closet where the tent is so I'm a bit limited seeing as people get up and change the thermostat throughout the night at my house.

I mean, they look healthy but that looks like really slow growth. What kind of lights do you have them under?
