:? Literally just said it's not properly understood. Care to explain to me why so many expert growers do it if it is a myth? And why a lot of smokers can tell in a blind test flushed from unflushed bud? Actually don't bother, I'm not interested in arguing with you any more. Seems like you're looking for a fight.
Ive done both no real difference to me but I think it’s a grows choice. There’s no real right or wrong to that one

Nah its not. Its just not properly understood. But sure, feed heavy with boosters until chop if you like. Just hope you dont mind drying and curing for 3 months.
Depends what you call flush and with only a couple years growing experience you still have some experimenting to do.

Even JZS who argued for months and months that Flushing works changed his mind the first time he tried feeding to the end.. Leaching the medium does nothing to effect the plant but if you dont know the finishing days fraught with danger & days early can cost you a nice swell.
Tapering feeding is probably more accepted.
This is a good read, supports the middle ground which i think is probably more on point. But to start water only you have to really be on a 2nd clone run to get it spot on. It can save you money but does nothing for "harshness" or that extra kick a cured harvest has-.That takes a cure.

But its always a thing growers debate on.

Why now I’m genuinely curious. I’ve personally done both and see zero difference, as for flushing it’s great when you’ve over fed or have a toxic buildup etc but I see no point any other time.

I'm now after some advice from the cogniscenti....

'Got these clones of Incredible Bulk courtesy of Dusty (thanks mate, you got me working/thinking again...):

DSCN2175.JPG
Now they're like this:DSCN2177.JPG

They've been in a tent under 18/6 lights (shitty Viparspectra burples - my problem, not yours!) with a 1/4 turn each day & not a lot of watering/nutrients. I just took them out this arvo to give them a bit of natural sunlight whilst I cleaned-out the tent. They seem to be doing quite well considering.....

The one on the far left is a topped cut/clone of Gelato OG that Dusty didn't think would survive, but it has! I decided to try pure hydro nutes in coco & it was showing a bit of N deficiency, but gave her a feed & seems to be recovering nicely. Here they are in a bit more detail:

Oops! looks like I doubled-up on the images. Sorry!

Question is:

One of my nutter dogs dropped a rope-toy onto one & sheared-off a branch whilst they were outside. I've patched it with tape & used a cable-tie to hold it back in place. All OK, or should I rip it off & try to make a clone out of it? Or just pull it off & be done with it?

Any anecdotal experience gratefully recieved...

How’s that soil working for you, are you just watering or adding nutes?

What’s everyone doing for bloom boosters? Currently I just use a bit of mpk with my base to boost P and K and a bit of k-rich (potassium citrate) the last 2-3 weeks.

Wondering if I could drop my base completely and just feed mpk and k-rich for the last 2-3 weeks, or even just feed my base once a week so they’re still getting macros. I’m thinking there’ll be enough in the coco for the last 2ish weeks to supply enough nitrogen and magnesium etc
Try half strength base and heavy with the P.K

Hey kwigybo, not arguing with you here just thought I’d throw out a couple of ideas that may help you or others??
It’s the chlorophyll that’s tastes like shit lol.
You can get rid of it by flushing but you also lower the photosynthesis the plant is wanting to achieve, hence lowering yield and quality. I used to flush till I had yellow leaves all over the plant but after researching it I found out (as you said) that it needs a slightly longer dry and curing time to break down the chlorophyll.
as long as I don’t over fertilise (especially with N) then I’m generally giving the plants everything they need right up until chop. I find I get frostier buds and a better final bud swell/weight gain.
So in a nutshell either works for smoother/tastier buds but spending that little bit longer drying and curing is really worth the increase in yield and quality imo.
hope I’ve cleared a few things up without offending.

Their looking good rewerb!
Hydro nutes work perfectly fine in coco (coco is hydro as it’s a soil less medium ;)) you probably already know this rewerb, but I’ll throw it out there in case you don’t and may help towards a bountiful harvest if you didn’t  but just keep an eye on rust spots when growing in coco and be prepared to supplement extra calcium and fe if possible.
If you reuse your coco then chances are the next run with the coco won’t require the same calcium addition to feedings. But all and all, there looking pretty good to me!! Well done!

I’ve grown incredible bulk before and tbh it’s not bad. Really good yields, fast and easy to grow and was a fairly strong smoke.

The soil is great. I've only given them a couple of 1/2 strength Maxi-Grow feeds in the past 3 weeks. Other than that, just water.

The lemonade bottles are just a collection to make up small amounts of low-strength nutes for seedlings & cuttings (drill a tiny hole in the lid & I can target a very small area rather than making a mess with a watering can in the tent). I've also got some late-start Bird's Eye & Habanero chillies in another tent. These are about a week old in coco/perlite & I'm sub-irrigating them with 2-part Canna nutrients & roots stimulator, but will get some Cal/Mag gear this weekend.

Just mpk or you think I should grab some potassium sulfate or something as well?
MKP 457g
MAP 43g
Mix them up dry then add 1.5g to every 5L of mix in week 1,5,6.and 7
Can go harder in 5 and 6 but drop your base by half if you do and check your E.C before using it
