What’s everyone doing for bloom boosters? Currently I just use a bit of mpk with my base to boost P and K and a bit of k-rich (potassium citrate) the last 2-3 weeks.

Wondering if I could drop my base completely and just feed mpk and k-rich for the last 2-3 weeks, or even just feed my base once a week so they’re still getting macros. I’m thinking there’ll be enough in the coco for the last 2ish weeks to supply enough nitrogen and magnesium etc

Bloom boosters are overpriced and overrated for the most part. I certainly wouldnt recommend dropping your base nutes 3 weeks out.

Depends on the strain but i think youd invite a whole host of deficiencies.

I’m using megacrop (cause cheap) which is high in nitrogen (which is why I’m currently adding mpk (because also cheap) to balance out the p/k levels) in coco which will hold onto the nitrogen, I’m thinking the last 1-2 week there’ll be enough in the coco and plant to get me through and boosting p/k level will help finish setting flowers.

Could be wrong but it’s got nothing to do with price. Mpk is probably the cheapest bloom booster you could buy. I like using base salts not fancy labels.

Fair enough. Im just saying dont rely on boosters without the base. And you wanna taper down all nutes 2-2.5 weeks out. Personally i spike pk in week 5 and 6. Theres really no need to use it all the way to flush. Research by Canna and others show this is the most beneficial way.

But yeah mate, theres a million different ways you can do it. Best of luck.

Hey lads and ladettes,
Been growing indoors for years, and have done outdoor autoflowers and taken vegged plants under 24 hours light outdoors to trigger flowering, but have never naturally flowered a photo outdoors with decreasing sunlight to start flowering.....
I’m in Western Australia and have a trip planned overseas in mid May. I have small plants outdoors atm but am afraid I’m not going to have enough time to harvest without chopping early!?
Does anyone know roughly when plants will start to flower in W.A?
Thanks in advance!! 8)

Pretty sure your stretch will start early -mid Jan so if you got even 12 weekers you still would be finished in April latest

Please by all means help me understand it properly. Flushing (or leaching) has its uses but end of flower ain’t one of them.
:? Literally just said it's not properly understood. Care to explain to me why so many expert growers do it if it is a myth? And why a lot of smokers can tell in a blind test flushed from unflushed bud? Actually don't bother, I'm not interested in arguing with you any more. Seems like you're looking for a fight.
