Been growing at a buddy's house and the plants are about 5-6 weeks from harvest. Told him he was on his own when it comes to the drying and curing, so he reads a few articles and thinks he knows it all now. Says all the books I've read and all the advice I have received on this forum is BS.

Is planning on "curing" his portion at 45% RH. Should I let him for shits and giggles?

no...that's entirely too low, the weed will dry too fast and be harsh and taste like shit...i dry at 70% rh. it takes 3-5 days to get dry enough to jar, depending on the density of the buds. drying any faster than that does not allow the sugars, carbs, and chlorophyll to break down, and those are the things that make it taste harsh...
he's a dumbass....
