not really if i still want my 1200ppfd in flower.
To be fair Weed-whacker is an aggressive cock sucker.lolLol
My question wasn’t about distance from led to canopy actually
It was about total hight needed in flower chamber
And I assure u if I was getting aggressive u would know about it
Well I dunno. I can do 1200ppfd at almost 94% efficiency or down to 222ppfd at 90% (25% load). The driver is 89% efficient even at 10% load... it does dip down to 87% at 20% load though to be fair.not really if i still want my 1200ppfd in flower.
I'd say you still lose a lot more in efficacy on the led at 700mA compared to 350mA than you lose on the driver. You really need to be dimming below 30% and at that point you are better of using two drivers and switching one of them off (switching off half of the strips).exactly, i wanna get the 95% over the whole range, yes.

Lets assume we have a led like the bridgelux driven allready very low, below 700mA max.
Anyway initially i just recommended something which can dim lower then 50% if youre aiming for a low hanging height.[/QUOTEHanging height should not be related to dimming though. Hanging height is determined by the distribution of the lights. When you hang the light at the optimal height for it's construction and correct light distribution then you dim (or not) to change the intensity.
