Wasn’t sure what to call this thread. This is a spin off from the other thread where I switched to waterfalls and removed my air stones.
A little history, both my veg and flower rooms have 5 g buckets hooked to a separate res outside the rooms. Both rooms have strip led lights and are vented separately via vent fans. Temps are a little cold as I’m in Canada and are warmed via my house furnace.
Both systems rdwc fed top feed.
Problems started happening when I moved plants from veg to flower. Also this is when I upgraded my pump to add the waterfalls. Within days my plants went down hill. To be fair I also added some things I’ve never added before. H202 3% at 3ml/L. Armour Si at 25ml/130L. I also made the mistake of adding calmag after the armour si creating a brown solution. ( who knew). On top of that my ph pen went on the fritz.
So I came home from work to see leaves curling up splotches etc. On the other thread I thought I got root rot as the roots appeared to go brown.
Since then my plants are looking better. Flushed several times using an enzymes product has my roots new growth nice and white. So can’t blame the waterfalls it was my mistake of adding things to quickly.
So back to the point of this thread, I have a strain in rdwc that constantly gets these spots on the veins of the leaves. Look like a Ca def but I’m not sure it is. In the past I’ve tried a lot of different combinations of calmag low EC and high EC. Ph low and high. This same strain does well in coco and doesn’t show the same deficiency’s.
Here are some photos. First 2 are what I saw after I messed up my nute solution. Blaming waterfallsthird pic is said spots on veins. Last pic same strain in coco happy as hell.
Long winded I know. Really need to find out why this strain doesn’t like my rdwc. Thanks. Currently back on air stones smaller pump and top feed tuning 24/7.
