Hi, What you have identified is the dramatic change in temperature, the species can bronze and a normal response from the cold, but good eye. I would be bummed out if they were sick. Great question.if i walked out of the woods and saw that i'd be real excited for about 2 seconds...

I used to grow Leland Cypress from seeds. Got to making too much money off my hobby and it got to be a job. {although most everyone wanted dogwood} They are under some hurricane blowdowns now, but still had lots of them that had outgrown their pots and are rooted in the ground.Ha!
