It could definitely be salvaged and brought to harvest, I’m probably a bit too much of a perfectionist, I don’t like to bring a plant to harvest that had a slow start, even if it had nothing to do with the genetics. Hell, I will even kill some of my plants off if I don’t like the way they’re growing in veg and just grow the ones I have left into bigger plants.I wasn't necessarily saying give up, but definitely don't start flowering them at this stage. They need to be bigger and healthier to make 2+ months of flowering worth bothering with. If the seeds aren't special and he has more, I suppose starting fresh wouldn't set things back too much though.
There may also be some value for a first time grower though in having a plant with fairly low expectations where you can afford to make mistakes as long as you learn from them, and then worry about getting good genetics once there’s a bit of experience.
