My 2nd Grow and 1st Journal.

Hello guys, this is my 2nd grow in this setup. I’m a very new grower but wanted to share what little I’ve learned. My first grow I got 511grams in a 40”x40” area using a 620watt home made LED. 12 Cobb 3500k.
This Grow:
Girl Scout cookies
Vivosun 8’x4’ tent
Veg+Bloom / cal-mag on reserve
Ac infinity inline fan
5 fabric pots (coco) with reservoir
Humidifier
Exhale C02 bags x2 with C02 monitor
Oscillating tower fan.
I germinated on Nov 23rd and planted today nov 25th with taproots being just under and at 1/2”. I bought the c02 bags 3 weeks ago and waited for them to start pushing the ppm higher than ambient then I germinated. It’s averaging 850-870ppm. I have a pong fogger coming in to up the humidity I know it’s low.

all the girls have sprouted and are looking good! co2 is up, humidity is up. I’m happy with how things are going, probably will give the first feeding by the end of this week!

look up Growmau5 on YouTube. That’s how I learned to wire it all together.
I got everything from RapidLED, it’s 12 3590cobbs at 3500k using 2 meanwell 320watt 1.4 amp drivers. The frame rails I got from Home Depot, they are just aluminum angle iron. I used self tapping screws. What’s new for this grow is I’m adding Emerson effect boards from RapidLED. They are Red and Far Red boards. And infared and UVA to help trichome development. This light gave me .84 grams a watt. First grow, many mistakes. I know I can get that over 1g per watt!

Well, started to see the first signs of deficiencies, so I gave my first feeding today.
5.7ph @ 565ppm, little high, but wanted to hit the problem hard. 2nd nodes are tiny but already coming in! Co2 is up to 1150 and holding!

I just feed my seedlings with plain tap water until I get more leaves. Currently on the 3rd set.

deficiencies where? There so little that they wont show anything till they are a little older. Also no need for co2 when they are that young. If they look weird it's probably bc u have those cobs on them so early. Cannabis doesn't like so much light right away

Get some t5 lights. Walmart has the sunblaster with the dome for less than 50 bucks Canadian!

Also what did it cost you to build the light? Roughly

It was around $1,300 USD for everything
The light is fully adjustable and have output around half, I’m not blasting them that early!

its C02 bags, I can’t control it. I didn’t want to have the bags not producing co2 when the plants needed it, so when I saw PPM rise I germinated.

Here’s a update on how the girls are doing. 1 is really struggling and a lot smaller than the others. Seems to be growing fine just slower. Temps are around 75-79, RH 52%-56% (can’t get higher so I’m rollin with it)
Co2 is done rising and holding at 1180-1200ppm. 2nd nodes are coming in and I upped my reservoir PPM to 650. I won’t go any higher for maybe a week. What I like is my water can start at a PH of 5.7 and will take 4 days to hit 6.1 and than holds. So every 4 day I adjust PH from 6.1 to 6.0 to 5.9 to 5.7and let is slowly rise again and than repeat. I did that my last grow with good success. Here’s some pics. Let me know what you think.

This updates brings a host of problems. It’s hard to tell the in the picture but, 1 plant looks nitrogen deficient, one looks like nitrogen toxic, and the others are showing calcium deficiency . Anybody experience most plants showing different types of deficiencies? PH is 5.8/5.9 and PPM is 550.

did you open both exhale bags? you didnt need either of them this early in the plants life.. there is such a thing as too high c02 ya know.. also worth knowing that when running c02 in the range your at you must increase your other factors as well, more light, more nutes more often.. all of which you shouldnt be doing right from the start.. let the plant sprout and veg a little before you try to push it to/beyond its limits..

Yeah I opened both. They take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to start producing so I made sure they started when I germinated. When I up the nutes they all get nitrogen toxic, when I lower they get cal-mag deficient lol...sounds like I need to ride out a little bit and let them mature?
