Why all the hate? Your ignorance astounds me. Nobody's growing in organic soil to save the planet. Nothing green about growing under electric lighting. I grow in natural soil is because my weed tastes as it should with minimal cost and effort.. No ph-ing or measuring ppms...my plants stay healthy just by watering them. It's about sustainability; I'm not saving anything but money.
To answer the OPs question is more complex. The short answer is yes but it depends upon your end goal. If you don't have access to a water supply other than a city tap and a source of compost then just use bottled nutrients. Nothing wrong with that.
If you don't like the taste of your bud grown with nutes then do some reading and go full organic but ditch the nutrients altogether in that case and instead find a good source of worm castings. Living soil is not hippie bullshit its just basic earth science.
Dissolved salts and chloramine dry out the bodies of the microbes that break down organic materials and make them available to the plant for absorption. That's why people think their soil is depleted after a few months when in fact it is just inactive. It can be made active again by adding compost but it's an uphill battle.
Outdoors everything is washed out by rain. The worms are not affected by nutes and will keep your compost active. Synth nutes are not instant death but they will reduce microbes in numbers and eventually render the soil inactive if not replenished. Live worms can replenish any soil if given organic material to feed on.
