I think it has to do with the state being upset that the marijuana tax money is not what they hoped for.Welcome to the Trump regime !
When Vegas legalized recreational, we lost any chance of becoming a Weed Vacation destination. But don't be salty, Cali still has the best weed in the world.Yeah i fell for the hype too. I thought we were going to become this New Amsterdam type vacation destination. Swore my property value was gonna go up. Nah, nothing changed except there is more trash out there now.
What really sucks, IMHO, is that it's still illegal to use cannabis in public. There's practically no place where adults can get together to pass around a joint or pipe. There's no cannabis bars or lounges. Far as the law is concerned, smoking a joint in public is just as much a no-no as urinating on a street corner or having sex on a picnic table in a park. It's just not as much fun when you have to hide and can't share with other space cadets.Yeah i fell for the hype too. I thought we were going to become this New Amsterdam type vacation destination. I'm trying to network with other small growers in LA County. It's not easy. I think we're all still paranoid. I'm willing to give clones away to people just so the genetics don't get lost, but I would prefer to work with folks who are growing for medical purposes. I wish there was a farmers' co-op or something.I have like fifty extra plants that I was going to set up an extra tray for but decided not to... I'm not really comfortable with just posting online that I have hella clones but I don't want to just throw them away.... All very clean and healthy what do you guys do with your extra plants? I feel like there's something that I'm missing lol. I don't really know any local people that grow or else I would just sell off or gift them... But it really feels wrong to just throw them all away?
They opened a cannabis cafe in L.A. It's called the Lowell cafe. Infused meals, a dab area and a flower area. Hopefully the first of many more to come. What really sucks, IMHO, is that it's still illegal to use cannabis in public. Coming from a country where men normally do urinate in public, on trains, and just about anywhere to be honest, I find it shocking that Americans are not more pissed about not being able to drink in public. I'm planning on checking that place out with the old lady. Looking forward to it.They opened a cannabis cafe in L.A. It's called the Lowell cafe. Infused meals, a dab area and a flower area. Hopefully the first of many more to come.
Now that you mention it, drinking in public is banned practically everywhere I can think of except maybe the tourist areas of New Orleans. Some places the cops will let you slide if you have a brown paper bag around the bottle.Coming from a country where men normally do urinate in public, on trains, and just about anywhere to be honest, I find it shocking that Americans are not more pissed about not being able to drink in public. is this super real because I'm not sure what to do with these plants, but after really thinking about it today oh, they were just extra but I don't want to dump extra money into them to keep growing them...but don't want to throw them away either but when you really put pen to paper it's so much cheaper to just let them go even if it's just for free to friends or whoever but otherwise I guess they're just going in my compost pile...? I agree I'm too scared to Post online or anything like that and I really don't know anybody else that partakes unfortunately, I'm kind of the guy in sandals and swim trunks and a tank top 365 with a fanny pack so I kind of stand out lolI'm trying to network with other small growers in LA County. One reason I'm trying to network with other growers is totally selfish: I need someone to "back up" my genetics in case something wipes out a crop. And I figure I could do the same for someone else. If one of us gets robbed or attacked by bugs or ends up in a hospital or whatever, we can get clones or seeds from the other growers in our network to keep our favorite strains going. Right now I don't have any super-special strains but I am hoping to use GDP to breed a strain for my wife's migraines. GDP is the only thing that helps, a lot of the time. Also, Godfather is good, and Godfather is a cross between GDP and LA Confidential.is this super real because I'm not sure what to do with these plants, but after really thinking about it today oh, they were just extra but I don't want to dump extra money into them to keep growing them...but don't want to throw them away either but when you really put pen to paper it's so much cheaper to just let them go even if it's just for free to friends or whoever but otherwise I guess they're just going in my compost pile...? Also, my wife recently found out that Sugar Kush seems to stop a migraine but in a different way than how GDP works. The GDP stops the pain right away. With the Sugar Kush, it kind of makes you forget that your head is hurting and then before you even notice anything the pain just goes away. So I'm going to try to get some of the Sugar Kush DNA bred into the anti-migraine strain along with the GDP genetics.
I was in the same situation after putting myself thru cloning college. Gifted them to my local hydro hut representative(s).
